Title of bachelor's thesis: The case study of physiotherapeutical treatment of a patient with diagnosis failure of patellar stability Author: Petra Dvořáčková Summary: The aim of this bachelor's thesis was processing of the case study of a patient with diagnosis failure of patellar stability, a summary of theoretical knowledge, designing therapy and monitor its progress. The general part of this thesis includes theoretical knowledge of anatomical structure, biomechanics and kinesiology of the knee joint. Further information on the possibilities mentioned examination and conservative and surgical treatment. I concentrate on treatment options, testing and therapy. The special part contains case report of a pacient after patellar stabilization according Madigan, the course of therapy and evaluation of its effect. The case report was prepared during the continous professional practice at the Center for treatment of muscoloskeletal system in Prague from 9.1.2012 to 3.2.2012. The effect of kinesiotape application on rheological properties of the knee joint with chondromalacia patellae
Mertová, Petra ; Lopot, František (advisor) ; Kubový, Petr (referee)
Author: Bc. Petra Mertová Title: The effect of kinesiotape application on rheological properties of the knee joint with chondromalacia patellae Problem definition: Chondromalacia patellae is a very frequent diagnosis related to knee injuries. Diagnosing chondromalacia is very difficult. Knee arthroscopy is the best method for evaluating the cartilage condition, however this technique is invasive. Kinesiotaping is a therapeutic method extensively used to affect knee pain. Patellar taping is an effective method in improving symptoms resulting from patellofemoral joint problems, nevertheless the evaluation of its effect has not yet been objectively investigated. Aim of the thesis: The aim of this study is firstly to discover the possibility to noninvasively detect chondromalacia patellae using the method of biorheometry and secondly to discover the impact of kinesiotaping on rheological properties of the knee joint with chondromalacia patellae. Method: The designed experiment was performed as a pilot case study using the method of biorheometry. The history of the patient was monitored using a questionnaire and by a clinical examination of the knee joint. Two questionnaires were created to evaluate the functional state of the knee joint. Measurements were done on a special device called biorheometer....

Title: Case study of Physioterapy care of patient with diagnosis Multiple injuries of soft tissues of knee joints with following rigidity Author: Eliška Poláková Aim: Treatment proposal to the pacient with diagnosis multiple injuries of soft tissues of knee joints with following rigidity Methods and abstract: This work was developed as a research case study in professional practice, which took place from 23rd January 2012 do 17th February 2012 in Regional Hospital Kladno. The work is divided into a theoretical part and special part. The theoretical part deals with theoretical knowledge in terms of anatomy, kinesiology and injury mechanisms. It also includes the possibility of treatment in the matter, the possibility of investigative techniques and physiotherapy practices in the postoperative period. Related special section describes a case report of a patient with multiple disabilities posttraumatic soft tissue knee followed by rigidity, behavior therapy and evaluate the effect of therapy. Results: Status of patient is different at the beginning and end of therapy. Mainly to improve range of motion in L knee, increase muscle strength and improve walking stereotype. The practical care contains detailed casuistry of patient diagnosed st.p. traumatical fracture of right patella. A part of the casuistry is kinesiological analysis including an anamnesia, short-term and long-term care physiotherpeutical plan, detailed analysis of selected exercise sessions and output kinesiological analysis. This is followed by appreciation of the whole therapy and conclusion Results: The therapy went very succesfsully. General physical and mental state of the patient has improved greatly during a rehabilitaion.
