Waste heat within professional laundry
Svoboda, Adam ; Máša, Vítězslav (referee) ; Bobák, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with professional laundry service and background research on commercial opportunities for utilization of waste heat in industrial laundries. The practical part consists in measuring properties of the waste flow from the industrial washing machine and the calculation of potentially useful heat. In the conclusion possible risks of using heat from waste water and a draft plan for this use are formulated.
Energy Intensity Reduction of a Professional Laundry Care Process
Bobák, Petr ; Klemeš,, Jiří (referee) ; Noskievič, Pavel (referee) ; Stehlík, Petr (advisor)
Doctoral thesis deals with professional laundry care process and reduction of energy intensity and use of other operational commodities used in the process. Professional laundry care process is a specific energy intensive process; its purpose is to re-establish original properties of the now dirty laundry so that it may fulfil its functions again. This is basically a recycling and regeneration process comprising many sub-operations. Key operation is washing of the laundry in a washing bath, which removes impurities from the laundry. This thesis describes the most common technology of impurities removal, which is washing in a hot washing bath in cooperation with mechanical work and detergents. However, all of the described procedures may also be applied on alternative technologies, such as ozone washing, washing with low-temperature enzymes and ultrasound. Water is applied in all these technologies as a soaking agent. Water must have appropriate properties and must be removed from the laundry after the washing process in subsequent operations (drying, ironing, and pressing). Theoretical introduction of the thesis describes professional laundry care process in detail, and continues with mathematical modelling of the process and its main sub-operations (washing, drying) using mass and heat balance, and data acquisition and their application in research and development. Thesis further describes design of information system on the basis of relational database controlled by web application. This system enables to organize data and information from various sources – measured experimental data, data concerning measurement devices, operational records of machines, etc. Thesis further proposes how to evaluate and reduce energy intensity of a process. Descriptions are validated by examples and case studies. Key section of the thesis is a chapter describing experimental infrastructure. This infrastructure integrates several instalments of laundry equipment and is a fully functional operation of industrial laundry facility with 500kg/shift capacity, which serves as a model of energy intensive process. Sophisticated infrastructure and data acquisition system allows measuring wide spectrum of physical entities and examining factors influencing energy intensity of processes, and relationships between these factors as well as effectiveness of various savings measures in real life facilities.
Influence of small home appliances on economy of solar systems
Kučerová, Simona ; Půčková, Helena (referee) ; Kotlík, Josef (advisor)
This Master´s thesis deals with the influence of small household appliances to the economy of solar systems. The theoretical part is focused to solar systems and describes the possibilities of linking these systems with small household appliances. It adds an effective, ecological and economic aspect of washing and small home appliances suitable for economic household. The practical part evaluates the economic utilization of solar systems with small household appliances.
Energy and water demand of washing process
Barabášová, Iveta ; Touš, Michal (referee) ; Bobák, Petr (advisor)
The thesis presents a professional washing process in washer-extractor. The aim is to appoint water and energy consumption during a washing cycle based on archive data from Laboratory of energy intensive process, NETME Centre. The data have been measured during washing with steam heating and washing with electric heating. Obtained data are processed via MS Excel software and they are used for simple economic evaluation of washing cycle.
Analysis of energy saving in industrial washer and dryer
Němeček, Zbyněk ; Bobák, Petr (referee) ; Kuba, Pavel (advisor)
The first part of the bachelor thesis is focused on the professional laundry maintenance issue. View into the common laundry processes and operations is processed by the research way. Then the thesis deals with the experiment, which is the main output. Dependence of the consumption between a washing machine, dryer and temperature of rinsing water is monitored in the performed experiment. On the basis of theoretical knowledge about the viscosity it is assumed that with the rising temperature of rinsing water there is an energy saving. The thesis output is suggestion of energy consumption measurement and mathematical model describing dependencies mentioned.
Design of experiment on a washer extractor
Těthal, Josef ; Šomplák, Radovan (referee) ; Kuba, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals in the first part with research regarding the laundry process and introduction to design of experiments. The next part, which is the output of this work, describes an experiment made. The experiment defines the impact of rinsing temperature and spin speeds on consequential humidity of the laundry.
Importance and use of marketing in a chosen company
BROŽKOVÁ, Nikola
The main objective of this bachelor thesis was to identify how the marketing activities are implemented and used in the selected company. The next mission of this work is to explain how the company is interested in its customers and how they are satisfied with the company. The primary data were collected by way of controlled structured interview with the marketing director of "AZ". A final part which is developed by author was to propose any recommendations on the basis of the existing situation. With the results which were based on the analyzes should be proposed changes which can help to improve the current situation in the company "AZ".
Use of marketing in a chosen retail unit
SEDLÁKOVÁ, Soňa
The title of bachelor work is Use of marketing in a chosen retail unit. The main objective of this bachelor thesis is evaluation of using marketing in a chosen retail unit and potential proposal of change. The theoretical part is based on the analysis of professional literature and investigates basic terminology, such as requirement, wish, needs, marketing and retail unit. In the practical part is analyzed chosen retail unit, specifically Flosman in Počátky. Information about this retail unit was collected through structured interviews with store managers and through marketing research. In conclusion, the information was evaluated and proposed changes.
Alternative methods of leading childbirth
PAPAI, Daria Kristina
The topic of my bachelor thesis is "Alternative methods of child delivery". The theoretical part describes the physiological delivery its particular phases and their progression. In addition, I aim to explain what the term alternative birth means, and what it includes. The various alternative positions are described, which can be used to facilitate childbirth, as well as their appropriate use during the particular delivery phases. The theoretical part is concluded by descriptions of pain relief methods, including the description of both pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods. The second part of the thesis is a practical part, summarizes the results of an evaluation research. The aim was to explore the most used alternative methods and to identify the views and experiences of women with alternative methods and aids used during delivery in selected hospitals. Furthermore, the aim was to describe the regions of the Czech Republic in terms of the use of alternative aids and procedures. The hypotheses were formulated based on previous experiences and personal opinions of the author of the thesis. The research sample consisted of women after a spontaneous child delivery in the České Budějovice Hospital and in the Znojmo Hospital. The research was conducted in the form of an anonymous questionnaire survey, using a non-standardized questionnaires. The results of the survey were compiled in tables and the chi-square test was applied as a method for statistical processing and verifying the hypotheses.
