Slovak female sopranists from past until now

In this thesis I focused on life, development, artistic career and the career peak of our important Slovak female sopranos. I tried to capture and record their musical beginnings, studying singing, first achievements, starting in theaters and concert halls and stages. I focused on the finding of the studied repertoire during their careers and attempted to summarize all the major significant theater stages and concert platforms in the course of their professional life they performed. I also wanted to bring their views on major global career each of them experienced and their views on theater and the world of singing.
Personality of Emmy Destinn, her life and career

This thesis aims to familiarize readers with the soprano Ema Destinnova. First, the thesis discusses her life – starting with her childhood, over the first steps of her career till the end of her career of a singer. Further mentioned are her most important colleagues, who somehow influenced her life. The thesis examines her personality and voice. Finally, the thesis mentions her teachers.

Master thesis, The personality of Milada Šubrtová, focuses on the artistic and family life of the Czech opera singer. Firstly, it looks at her beginnings and her background. Then it describes Milada Šubrtová’s adolescence and her education. Professors who influenced Lady Šubrtová greatly. The thesis focuses on the beginning of her career, the first role in which she played. On the first engagement she ever received. On her successes and failures. The thesis describes how much she loved her husband and the two closest friends - Professor J. Mrázek and Professor Christina Kluge-Mrázková. You will have the opportunity to read about her engagement and the hosting in Czech theaters. In this thesis you can also read about her achievements, many great roles in her repertoire and about her personality. The thesis includes two interviews. The first one is an interview with PhDr. Christina Kluge-Mrázková who knew Mrs. Milada Šubrtová personally and who was her close friend. The second one is an interview with Ing. Petrlík, the mayor of a village Chříč. Thanks to his initiative, there was established a museum of Milada Šubrtová in this village after her death. At the conclusion of my thesis I have made an analysis of the questionnaire regarding "Personality of Milada Šubrtová" which I created in order to know how many respondents know this great opera singer.
The phenomenon named Pavarotti

In my bachelor work I was trying to find out why Luciano Pavarotti was so important in the process of popularization of classical music and opera singing itself. I was focusing mainly on one aspect in career of Luciano Pavarotti, which was combination of classical music (which is being performed mostly in opera houses for educated audience) with the folk and pop music with wide range of audience. I am writing in detail about Luciano´s character and his typical traits, which helped him to attract the masses with his performances and to get a huge number of fans. I am also analyzing very important role of his promoter Herbert Breslin, who helped him to become a world famous singer.
The Journey of Edita Gruberova towards the vocal Perfection

The bachelor project The journey of Edita Gruberova towards the vocal perfection was based on my personal interview with Mrs. Edita Gruberova. It illustrates her voice and technical development from the childhood until present times. The goal of the project was to capture personal opinions and vocal emotions of the singer, who is an important part of the musical scene for many years and amazes the audience with her phenomenal vocal mastery.

I have chosen Sona Cervena, because I had the opportunity to get to know her and even stand with her on one stage and understand that she is and Artist with big A. She has sacrificed her whole life to theatre, but it was not a sacrifice for her, because she took theatre as her family. By this work I would like to remind her inexhaustible diligence and her will to go forward with her head up against the fate.
Luciano Pavarotti and his pedagogical Contribution

The thesis presents the personage of Luciano Pavarotti in the role of an educator. The aim of this work is to study his pedagogical contribution to the young generation of singers. It analyzes Master Classes and other didactic projects initiated by Luciano Pavarotti and it focuses on his work with young singers. The work captures the very first impulses towards the young generation of singers. It consists of chapters presentingPavarotti?s life ? starting from his childhood following to the end of his international career. The final part of the work confronts knowledge of Luciano Pavarotti?s pedagogical activity with author?s personal experience. The structure of the teaching process shows that it is oriented towards the vocal technique, the selection of repertoire and further tendencies of the students with Pavarotti´s personal engagement. The conclusion presents Pavarotti?spersonal pedagogical contribution to the author of the thesis.
The mezzo-soprane line in the National Theatre in Prague (in 20th Century)

This thesis shall introduce the eight most popular mezzo-soprano singers, that were linked to the National Theatre in Prague within one century. The introduction explains why I have chosen this very topic and what was my intention to achieve with this work. The first chapter describes the history of the National Theatre in Prague, the circumstances of its foundation and the eminent personalities, which contributet to its creation. The following eight chapters introduce the mezzo-soprano singers in detail, refer to their musical beginnings, studies, successes, experience, ideas and artistical ambitions. I summarize in the conclution, wheter I managed to achieve everthing I wished and explain the contribution of the work.
