The influence of the Baťa company on the trade business in the footwear industry in the interwar Czechoslovakia

This bachelor thesis examines the influence of the Baťa company on the trade business in the footwear industry in the interwar Czechoslovakia. The hypothesis, that development and expansion of the Baťa company almost eliminated the business owners in this industry, was partly confirmed. It has been found that among other factors, due to which there was disposal of shoemaking craft, it is because of the technological advance, the war and the unfavorable situation after the war, the Great depression, legislation, tax incentives and others. The thesis explorers how the pace of trade developed in the years 1921 -- 1928, while comparing the shoemaking, tailor, leather and other trades that were not connected with the Baťa company. It has been also discovered that with the greatest pace fell just the shoemakers and tanners trade around 40%, while the number of other trades increased.
The city of Zlin under administration of the company Bata

The aim of my thesis is to objectively assess what the company Bata meant for the city of Zlín. In detail, I deal with the end of the nineteenth century until the mid-twentieth century, when the most important achievements were made for the development and growth of the city of Zlín. In the first chapter is a history of the city of Zlín from its beginning up to the end of the 50's of the 20th century, in particular I focus on the time when the brothers Bata started the business in Zlín. The second chapter deals with Thomas Bata as a mayor. The last chapter describes the social projects that the company Bata created for its employees.
Social policy and cocept of social system in Baťa's concern

The aim of this thesis is to bring objective analysis of the social system of Tomáš Baťa's concern during its existence until 1945 in Zlín. Based on this analysis it is trying to appoint a type of policy, that the founder was advocating. First chapter shows social conditions of the working class during the The First Republic of Czechoslovakia. In the second chapter is described history of the company. The next chapter concentrates on social advantages of the Baťa's employees. In the end it emphasizes on problems of the concern connected with some undemocratic aspects of the system.
