Souběžná obnova dubu zimního (Quercus petraeaMatt./ Liebl.) a dřevin přípravných
Žákovský, Jan
This work focuses on alternative solutions for forest regeneration in areas affected by calamity, namely the simultaneous regeneration of target and preparatory trees. The aim of the work is to evaluate experiments of simultaneous regeneration of winter oak (Quercus petraea Matt. / Libel.) and pioneer trees - grey poplar (Populus x canescens (Aiton) Sm.), aspen (Populus tremola L.), sticky alder (Alnus glutinosa L.), white birch (Betula Pendula Roth). established in the areas - Valšovice (SLT 3 B ) and Olšovec (SLT 4 S, 4 O) in 2015 and 2016 respectively. The results showed that aspen grows the fastest in height among the pioneer tree species. Rapid thickness and height growth was recorded for alder and birch. In the Olšovec alder there was a significant deterioration in vigour in the last year of the survey. Grey poplar did not progress on the Olšovec forest. Positive effect on oak regeneration was found only in alder on TVP Valšovice. The effect of pioneer tree species on oak quality was not unanimous.
The bark beetle and decline of the spruce forests - educational program
KOŠKOVÁ, Anna
Bachelor thesis focuses on creation of educational curriculum about bark beetle and decline of the spruce forests. Whole curriculum is aimed to pupils of the 6th and 7th class of elementary schools. The literature review deals with forest vegetation stages, life cycle of the bark beetle, then there are described ways how to avoid its uncontrollable spreading and possibilities of growing new and resistant forests. Practical part of this bachelor thesis is devoted to educational curriculum itself. In conclusion is discussed the usage of this curriculum in other educational facilities.
Tvorba a použití rezerv v lesním hospodářství
Meluzín, David
The Bachelor´s thesis deals with reserves from the accounting standpoint with the focus on forestry. The theoretical part comprises of the legislation definition of reserves, their characteristics, categorization, accounting of reserves and the lev-erage on profit and loss created by reserves. Further, the international legislation of reserves is defined. Lastly, the theoretical part targets a specific accounting re-serve produces in forestry, namely the reserve at silvicultural operations. The practical part contains the analysis of this specific reserve in the Lesy města Brna Corporation. The conclusion contains internal directives, constructed based on the findings of the analysis, which eliminate the shortcomings identified in the pro-cess of the reserve creation.
Stav obnovy lesa po vichřici Emma na lesní správě Lanškroun - revír Letohrad
Černohousová, Jana
The main objective of submitted thesis was the assessment of the state and a development of forest regeneration of selected areas devastated by the wind caused by the wind disturbance Emma in 2008 in the hunting ground of Letohrad (Forest management Lanškroun). The state of recovery has been analyzed based on registration documents and a field survey. Furthermore, the analysis in the area of interest has been performed focusing on the growth of Norway spruce and a common fir in different microclimate conditions. Next it was monitored which species grows out the most in extreme conditions of clearing area. Another part of the piece dealt with the costs of sites regeneration. Based on the results, the aim of the thesis was to optimize the process of regeneration of disturbed sites in the area of interest. At selected sites of Letohrad area were identified the biggest issues connected to Norway spruce and a common fir planting. Among the main limiting factors were recognized unsuitable choice of site, extreme climatic conditions, weed infestation and a high amount of game. Spruce and fir had the most significant increment in the sites of small area element character. Planting of spruce in the third altitudinal forest zone did not increment well and was visibly lagging. On the contrary, an oak followed by a beech thrived under the same conditions. The highest costs were identified at problematic, still not established disturbed area of 309G11.
Možnosti a limity uplatnění prostokořenného a krytokořenného sadebního materiálu při obnově vybraných stanovišť středních a nižších lesních vegetačních stupňů
Bastl, Pavel
The aim of the bachelor thesis is a complex evaluation and comparison of the use of bare-root and container-grown planting material, with respect to planting and growth, so that the forest restoration would be more sucessful and effective. For this survey we set specific areas with suitable conditions related to habitat and altitude. The areas were located in particular forest types sets, specifically 4K, 4S, 3K, 3S, 3M. In each area we planted 200 bare-root and container-grown plants of European spruce (Picea abies L. Karst.), Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii Mirb.) and European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.). The first finding in the following year after the forestation was a mortality. After the end of the vegetation period we evaluated 100 plants of each type and variety. The main measuring features included: the thickness of root neck, the height of above ground part, the mortality, the length of growth and other features that helped for the most accurate and objective comparison. Each variety and type of plants were measured, the data were evaluated and statistically compared.
Srovnání variant obnovy lesa po kalamitě: přípravný porost, umělá obnova, sukcese
Reška, Martin
The thesis assesses three different ways of restocking a clearcut originating from a windblown in 2010 in forest district Habrůvka, ŠLP Křtiny. Each type of restocking, i.e. sowing, planting, and natural regeneration – was established in two sets, one large and the other small size. The measurement of the sites that have been carried out annually, evaluation was done comparing the restocking methods, with a focus on mortality and growth. Additionally, a cost of each restocking method was considered, and the economic profitability was estimated for each type of restocking. The results show that costs on restocking by planting are much higher than of the other types of restocking, but in a long run planting is more profitable.
Charakteristika přirozené obnovy v porostech ŠLP Masarykův les Křtiny na základě dat statistické provozní inventarizace
Kikal, Jan
This diploma thesis deals with the natural regeneration of tree species in forest in conversion to the selection forest. Data collection was carried out using the statistical operational inventory method on the property of the Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk Forest Křtiny. Data was collected in year 2013, and 80 plots were then selected for further processing. The number of individuals of natural regeneration was detected, the species of a tree, their height and damage were determined too. The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the state of natural regeneration and to recommend optimal values of the stand dendrometric characteristics with a view to maximizing the number of individuals of natural regeneration. The results show the dependence of some tree species on the forest stand type and height classes. The models for maximizing the number of individuals of natural regeneration are suitable, for example, in natural regeneration in the forest type complex 3S (fresh oak beech). The optimal values for maximizing the number of individuals of natural regeneration of beech are the number of trees per hectare up to 1 500 ind./hectare, stand basal area/hectare from 16 to 33 m2 and the stand volume/ha from 170 to 430 m3/hectare.
