The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the landscape in the student's place of residence. The concept of the bachelor's thesis is primarily the perception of the cultural landscape. Emphasis is put on artistic interventions with the socializing potential, which can be the reason for meeting the locals, sources of aesthetic experience, pleasant leisure time, walking or sports. The work has the ambition to reveal unusual perspectives, to offer possibilities and experiences with different perceptions of the village in the valley, for centuries formed in the logic of the local landscape and the resulting human needs. The tangible output of the bachelor's thesis is the locally unique work of art, a vantage point that will become part of the intended series.

The diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the concept of Smart Cities in Písek, mapping the implementation of this concept, analysis of the current situation of Smart Cities in the city and evaluation of advantages and disadvantages associated with this project in Písek, on the basis of which will be drawn up proposals for development of Písek Smart Cities in the Czech Republic. The work is divided into a literature review, which explains the very concept of Smart Cities and its own elaboration, based on a questionnaire survey, interviews with experts and analysis of conceptual and strategic documents.
Citizens participation in the town life on a case study in Mnichovice

The civic participation is an active approach of the citizen who has possibility of using more or less formalized tools to influence public affairs. This diploma thesis "Citizens participation in the town life on a case study in Mnichovice" will deal with civic participation in a small town close to Prague - Mnichovice. The level of participation will be analyzed by the OECD (information, consultation, active participation) town hall uses, what factors influence participation rates, what motivates people to engage in participation and what discourages vice versa and which particular forms of cooperation with citizens are effective for local public administration. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis deals with the historical development of civil participation in decision making processes, analyzes legislation of the Czech Republic to describe the theoretical participation and engagement in different types of participation in the various approaches and finally explores options of participation in a small town with 3200 residents, which is located in the suburbia of Prague, 30 km south-east from the center of the capitol city. Health care system development from the perspective of citizens

Diploma thesis "Health care system development from the perspective of citizens" deals with the current state of Czech healthcare system, how is perceived by the citizens who are the target population of health policy and the main goal of health system is to improve their health. The main goal of this thesis is to find out, if the current state of Czech healthcare system meets with the requirements of citizens, having regard to the citizen's information and compared with the expectations. Qualitative and quantitative research methods (questionnaire, expert and semi structured interviews) were used to achieve the objectives. Theoretical and empirical part of the thesis is focused on the wider context of the role of citizens in the society and enforcement and respect of their human rights. There is emphasized the participation of citizens on health policy and importance of the human rights related to health in the thesis. Results of the survey show the lack of awareness of the human rights related to health and of news in healthcare that does not allow effective participation on creation and implementation of health policy and fulfillment of the role and responsibilities of the state in enforcement of the public interest. Využití nástroje participativního plánování při budování singletrailů v České republice

This bachelor thesis deals with citizen participation method and analysis of its use in practise, on example of bike parks in the Czech republic. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the thesis gives a comprehensive overview of the participatory method. It also contains a charakteristics of the basic terms, description of tools, limits and legal adaptations of the chosen method. In the practical part I deal with the analysis of specific cases of citizen engagement, based on the information obtained from the questionnaire survey and personal interviews with representatives of specific areals. The survey is evaluated at the end of the work and based on the results I analyze the current situation and define proposals to make planning process more efficient.
Otevřenost radnice vůči občanům města Vsetín

This diploma thesis deals with the openness of the town hall towards the citizens of town Vsetin, or how citizens of the city can participate in the decision making processes which take place at the city hall. In the theoretical part, the author describes the theory of public administration. Further possibilities and reasons of public participation in the development of towns and cities, and also describes the control of public administration. The practical part is processed through a questionnaire survey and its subsequent evalu-ation, which provides feedback directly from the inhabitants of Vsetin. Outcome of the thesis is to evaluate whether the citizens of Vsetin are satisfied with the work of the Town Hall, if are involved in decision making processes relating to their city and if they are even interested to be involved.
Current situation of LGBT citizens in Jamaica

This bachelor thesis is focused on behavior and perception towards LGBT communities by Jamaican citizens. The target is to understand why Jamaican culture is homophobic and how does it affect lives of lesbians, gay, bisexual and transgender people in Jamaica. In the first part, this thesis refers to the facts which clarify the life of members of LGBT communities in Jamaica. The spine of this paper work are eight interviews with respondents who shared their point of view on the current situation in Jamaica and are connected to the Jamaican culture. Three of the respondents are members of the LGBT community. The interviews reveal differences of opinions among the respondents. LGBT interviewees share the harsh realities they have to face every day in Jamaica and not only LGBT respondents confirm that Jamaica is still homophobic country.
Electronic Services for Citizens

This diploma thesis is focused on the topic of electronic services, which are provided by the public administration to citizens. The thesis focuses mainly on services provided in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the current situation in the field of electronic public administration services, which are offered in the Czech Republic, and to propose several measures that could improve the current situation. The evaluation is done by the method of comparison of offered services in the Czech, Estonian and Finnish Republic. Service features are evaluated using a five-step maturity model and benchmarking principles. For services in the Czech Republic that are evaluated on the basis of the comparison as missing or of insufficient quality, steps are proposed to eliminate their deficiencies.
