Automatic Additions and Corrections of Wikidata and Wikipedia Based on Information Extraction
Hložek, Matej ; Otrusina, Lubomír (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on creation of system for automatic extraction of data from articles in English language from internet encyclopedia site Wikipedia. Depending on class given by text classifier, different types of information are extracted from natural language text and from so called infoboxes of individual articles from Wikipedia. Final product of this system is a knowledge base containing all extracted data and classified type. A notable part of this system is an article extractor that extracts infoboxes and first paragraphs of articles from so called wikidump file.
The Use of Artificial Intelligence on Capital Markets
Dzuro, Daniel ; Budík, Jan (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The objective of this thesis is to evaluate the possibility of creating a tool capable of predicting commodity prices. Along with other business strategies, tools and markets analyses for financial and capital markets, this tool should help make the best estimate of future developments on the observed markets. The main market, on which this work is focused, is the agricultural commodities market, namely corn and its related markets. The fundamental basis upon which the arguments in this thesis are built, is the use of artificial intelligence, particularly neural networks. The whole application is presented using a graphical user interface that allows even those with little or no understanding of this field to delve deeper into the interesting area - using modern computer systems to support trading activities.
Potential application of neural networks in network elements
Babnič, Patrik ; Vymazal, Michal (referee) ; Vychodil, Petr (advisor)
The goal was to get acquainted with the problems of network elements to describe neural networks that can be used to manage such a feature. The theoretical part deals with the neural networks from their inception to the present. It focuses mainly on the network, witch can be used for management control. These are the two network: Hopfield network and Kohonen network. The practical part deals with the network element model and ist implementation. It contains a practical element model using a neural network, witch is controlled by a network element.
Forecasting model for forecast of flows in measured profile
Urbanec, Patrik ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Kozel, Tomáš (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis was the compilation and calibration of the prediction model of water flow in the specific profile of Bílovice nad Svitou on the Svitavy River and its evaluation. The thesis is divided into the calculation part and the theoretical part. In the calculation part is described a model based on neural networks and its calibration. Furthermore, the evaluation of predictions using histograms, averages and median frequencies for each month is described in the paper. The theoretical part describes neural networks, methodology and evaluation of results from the calculation part. Finally, we compare each neural network setting. Based on the results obtained, the predictive model can be recommended for further investigation.
Implementation of quality of service in the control of a network element
Boháč, Martin ; Kyselák, Martin (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The main task of the Master Thesis is introduction into problems of quality of service in converged networks especially with use of IP protocol version 6. Converged networks are able to transfer different data types - voice, data or multimedia stream. Design of active network unit is realized in Matlab Simulink. Designed model consists of simple network with some computer terminals which are connected with network element - switch. Switch model simulates real traffic of computer terminals, that are sending data to remote users. Packets in switch are sorting by data stream type and QoS. Switch is managed by neuron network. Neuron network reacts to input data and controls switch depending on type of recipient. Switch model can be used in laboratory exercising. Solving this theme needs basic skill in Simulink and theme can be done in one laboratory exercise.

Simple Character Recognition
Duba, Nikolas ; Svoboda, Pavel (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on optical character recognition and its processing. The goal of this application is to make it possible easily track daily expenses. It can be used by an individual or by a company as a monitoring tool. The main principle is to make this tool most as user friendly as it can be. The application gets its input from hardware, such as a scanner or camera, and analyzes the content of the cash voucher for further processing. To analyze the voucher, the application employs different optical character recognition methods. The result is subsequently parsed. Detailed explanations of used methods are inside the document. The application output is a filled database with cash voucher details. Another part of the work is an information system with the main purpose of displaying the collected data.
