Surface treatments in mechanical engineering
Čudová, Monika ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Žák, Ladislav (advisor)
The project was developed within the bachelor study presents experimental verification of two given varnishes. They are applied on a specially made plate. It was based on literary studies of corrosion coatings issues - coatings and practical tests. The samples were painted and tested according to the standards. The samples were tested on adhesion of varnishes, bending test and salt stray test. Finally all tests were evaluated.
Business Development Project
Hažmuka, Michal ; Ptáček, Roman (referee) ; Žižlavský, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of this work is to focus on the development of the prosperous company that deals with the sale of paints and accessories. My intention is to create a business plan. The theoretical part describes how to do it. The actual situation of the company is assessed in the analytical part by using specific indicators. At the end I specify my own solutions.
Coatings for cement bonded particleboards exposed in severe conditions
Vöröšová, Sabina ; Vacula, Miroslav (referee) ; Bydžovský, Jiří (advisor)
The main goal of the dissertation is to design and verify coatings for surface finish of cement bonded particleboards with the aim of improvement of their resistance against the unfavorable influences of the exterior taking into account the aesthetic function of the surface finish.
Business Plan
Balcarová, Lucie ; Jaroš, Jiří (referee) ; Hanušová, Helena (advisor)
Diploma thesis focused on the topic business plan deals with the product diversification of the company ABC Wood, spol. s. r. o. It contains detailed analysis of the present state of company´s internal and external environment in which the company performs. The aim of this thesis is to create a business plan based on the theoretical knowledge and identified facts. This business plan should lead to the improvement of company´s market position.
The influence of esters of glutaric acid to the selected acrylic and alkyd coating systems
Holubová, Anna ; Ing. Eva Molliková, Ph.D.,Paed IGIP (referee) ; Tulka, Jaromír (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is a study and description of a mutual interaction of solvents belonging to the green solvents group, specifically glutaric acid esters and selected acrylic and alkyd coating systems. In the experimental part of this thesis there is a study of a resistance of the coating systems to solvents by the spotting method, which is subsequently then combined with an adhesion experiment of the coating film by the cross-cut test. Those experiments are made according to matching methods in valid version.
Proposal for the expansion of the manufacturing process of paint coating material at Sherwin - Williams Czech Republic company
Vávra, Pavel ; Navrátil, Petr (referee) ; Kubík, Roman (advisor)
This master´s thesis is aimed at the analyse of the production of lacquers and paints and at its expansion in the Sherwin-Williams Czech republic company. At first particular activities of the company are presented and then several variants of the expansion are suggested, among them belongs the implementation of the operation in shifts, the modernization of equipment and the increase in the number of workers. After the exploration of influences of these variants on logistic processes and the exploration of related costs and merits the modernization is chosen as the optimal variant for the expected level of the demand.
Complete characterization and comparison of lacquer / Ni-P / AZ91 and lacquer / AZ91 systems
Šomanová, Pavlína ; Doskočil, Leoš (referee) ; Buchtík, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to compare the influence of Ni-P coating and varnish on the corrosion properties and chemical – physical properties (adhesion) of the magnesium alloy AZ91. The theoretical part contains the information about the alloy AZ91 itself and its microstructure, following by discussion about Ni-P coating, its properties, the process of the electroless deposition and composition it the nickel bath. Next chapter focuses on information about varnishes, its function and the process of its application on the surface of the substrate. Theoretical part closes with the summary of current research in the field of Ni-P coatings applied on magnesium alloys. The experimental part focuses on analysis of the microstructure of AZ91 alloy. The microstructure of the Ni-P coating and of the system Mg alloy/Ni-P coating/varnish was 4 examined by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and inverted microscope. During the next phase was thickness and hardness measured and composition measured by EDS analysis. The factor of the heat treatment of the samples and its impact on the final microstructure, hardness and corrosion resistance was taken in account. Finally, several samples were modified with the layer of the varnish and its thickness and the influence on the corrosion resistance ware measured. Samples were tested with electromechanical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), the corossion resistance were tested by neutral salt spray (NSS) and adhesive test was performed. The results showed, that Ni-P coating and the layer of varnish had positive impact on the corrosion resistance and the hardness of AZ91. The corrosion resistance of the samples modified with heat treatment was much lower, because of the contracting, which causes creation of the cracks. Also, the layer of varnish had positive effect on anticorrosion properties of tested AZ91 alloy.
Povrchová úprava speciálních výrobků ze dřeva určených pro styk s potraviny
Hodovská, Karolína
The thesis deals with the issue of surface treatment of wooden products intended for contact with foodstuffs. The literature part deals with a brief overview of coatings. The problem of products that come into contact with foodstuffs in terms of the material used, surface treatment and legislative requirements is discussed in more detail. The experimental part of the thesis is devoted to the verification of physical-mechanical, chemical and visual properties of test samples. Four types of solid wood were chosen as the base material, depending on the analysis of the range of kitchen utensils of the Dřevotvar cooperative. The samples were finished with five types of food-safe coatings. The samples were tested for resistance to cold liquids, food and abrasion. In addition to the appearance properties, the degree of gloss was also determined. The stress test was a dishwasher resistance test. Last but not least, the VOC emissions from the coatings used were measured. The result of the work is the determination of the best combination of substrate and paint and a comparison with the current variant used in the production of the Dřevotvar cooperative.
Aplikace termochromického pigmentu v nábytkářství
Kohoutová, Ludmila
Master’s thesis is focused on application of thermochromic pigment in furniture production. The aim was to study the possibilities of using thermochromic pigment in furniture or interior elements. In parallel with the study, test samples were made to verify the theoretical knowledge (pigment functionality) and application to a specific product. The result of the thesis was the realization of selected furniture to which was thermochromic pigment applied. In our case it was a coffee table with a built-in biofireplace. Thanks to the heat emitted from the biofireplace, the functionality of the pigment was clearly and quickly visible.
