Nozzle design for top-of-rail lubricant application
Jaroněk, Jan ; Jordán, Tomáš (referee) ; Valena, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the design development of a nozzle for a stationary unit intended for the application of a top-of-rail product on the rail head to reduce the intensity of squealing noise and wear. The thesis includes a review section that deals with the types of applicable lubricants, their descriptions, and patents of existing units. Subsequent chapters are dedicated to testing and identifying critical points of the already designed nozzle. An integral part of the thesis consists of conceptual designs and the construction solution of the newly proposed nozzle.
Design of wayside unit for top-of-rail lubrication
Valena, Martin ; Robenek, Dětřich (referee) ; Galas, Radovan (advisor)
This master’s thesis describes design and realization of a wayside unit for top-of-rail lubrication (TOR). TOR lubricant application causes wear reduction and lower noise emission. Firstly, patent analysis was provided and critically evaluated according to which requirements for developed device were specified – accurate dosage of small lubricant volume and high repeatability. On the basis of concept design, an experimental rig was created and used for lubricant application verification and spray lubrication parameter identification. Acquired results are considered in the final design of wayside unit with a technical facility. Two utility models were created within this master’s thesis.
Design of wayside unit for spraying of lubricant on rail
Jordán, Tomáš ; Galas, Radovan (referee) ; Valena, Martin (advisor)
Presented bachelor thesis deals with development and design of wayside unit for top of rail lubrication by spraying. TOR lubricant reduces wear and noise emission on the railways or tram rails. Introductory part of this thesis deals with lubricants properties and also units which are currently available on the market. The thesis contains proposal of wayside unit and it describes design solution. Based on a suitable design a prototype it was made. Furthermore experiments were carried out and their conclusion was that the unit is functional. The tests involved measuring of accuracy, repeatability and general analysis of spray pattern.
