PEROUTKOVÁ, Kateřina
The number of testicular cancer cases grows every year. The prevention is very important for early diagnosis. The aim of this thesis was to survey the awareness of testicular cancer prevention in men in South Bohemia and the Vysočina Region and their attitude to a testicular self-examination. The empirical part describes a research which was focused on men aged between 30 to 50 who live in the South Bohemian and Vysočina region. To collect information, a quantity survey in the form of questionnaire was used. Four hypothesis had been set for this study. Based on the data analysis, other interesting relations were studied. To evaluate the hypothesis, the Kruskal-Wallis test was used. Thanks to the studied hypothesis it was learnt that there is not a statistically significant difference in the knowledge of men in the South Bohemian and Vysočina region of the testicular cancer prevention depending on the age or the highest level of education. Later on there was also learnt that there is not a statistically significant difference in the attitude of men in the South Bohemian and Vysočina region depending on age or the highest level of education. The study also revealed that there is not a statistically significant difference in the attitude of men in the South Bohemian and Vysočina region to the testicular self-examination depending on age or the highest level of education. According to the questionnaire survey we also found out if men undergo preventive medical examination, whether they had been informed about the testical self-exam, if they examine themselves, or, where they get information about these issues. This thesis can be also used as a feedback for general practitioners and nurses working in the primary care because it gives them idea how much these men in the South Bohemian and Vysočina region are aware about testicular tumors and their prevention.

Kruf, Annabelle Elisabeth ; Svobodová, Jana (advisor) ; Porubská, Bianka (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT) and associated sperm and tissue pathologies in the context of different clinical and experimental perspectives. Testicular cancer is the most common malignancy among young men in the reproductive age and the worldwide incidence of testicular cancer is on the rise. This thesis emphasizes the importance of better cooperation between scientific findings from primary research and their clinical implementations in cancer management. The main aim of this thesis is not only to summarize current knowledge of healthy and tumor affected sperm and testes tissue, but primarily define clinical and especially experimental approaches of how to reveal, study and treat TGCT. In order to gain a deeper understanding and insight into TGCT, the data discussed in this thesis comes from the genetic, epigenetic, proteomic, endocrinologic and metabolic fields. More research on the underlying mechanisms of testicular cancer will further improve the quality of life of many young people faced with this diagnose. Breast, cervical and testicular cancer - epidemiology, screening and prevention
Altová, Anna ; Lustigová, Michala (advisor) ; Kulhánová, Ivana (referee)
The main concern of this thesis are breast, cervical and testicular cancer with focus on their epidemiology, screening and prevention. The epidemiological situation in Czechia and selected member states of EU is described by using indicators of incidence and mortality. The first main goal of this thesis is to analyze breast and cervical cancer screening coverage as well as the coverage by regular gynecologist check ups by using data from VZP health insurance company. It has been found that the breast cancer screening coverage rates are influenced by age structure. Cervical cancer screening coverage and gynecologist check-up coverage grow from 2009 to 2017. The other main task was to find out about knowledge of self-examination of Czech young people by using the data from questionnaires from educational programme "Healthy balls". Health knowledge among these students was low. There were found some differences in health behaviour and health literacy between gender and age groups.
