Irish Traditional Music at Czech School

The master's thesis deals with Irish traditional music and its possible use in music teaching at lower secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part provides information on Irish traditional music and the historical and geographical conditions under which it developed. The practical part deals with the possibilities of its implementation into school education in accordance with the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. Accompanying the thesis is an appendix consisting of pictures, texts, worksheets and sheet music. The attached CD contains audio and video recordings as well as multimedia presentations.
Cultural contributions of muslims to the Western civilization

Following work deals with cultural benefits of muslims to the European civilization, especially in area of Spain. (Historical Al-Andalus). The Introduction deals with overall benefits in science (mathematics, astronomy, medicine), economy and trade, culture, and influences in religion. Main part of work is devoted to description of arabian medieval music in Spain, and Ziryab, musician who was significantly involved in importing arabian music. Last part deals with modern arabian music in recent western civilization.
Music Instrumental Ensembles at Primary Schools

The thesis is focused on the activity of children instrumental ensembles in the region of the capital city Prague. In the first chapter we are studying the role of a musical instrument during the development of musical education in Czech schools. The next chapter concerns with psychological aspect of the human personality. Musical skills and abilities acquired by playing musical instrument and especially engaging in an ensemble, where it is important to perceive every other person and instrument support its development. The teachers are also an important part of an ensemble. We are dealing with use of the musical instruments that are currently available for teachers at schools. The research part of the thesis is dedicated to the particular ensembles in the region of Prague. Our goal was to map and summarize what motivates children to play in the ensembles and to find out what leads people to found musical ensembles, what they expect their work to be like and what they would appreciate in their pedagogical experience.
Using musical instruments and music-didactic aids at nursery school.

The theoretical part of my bachelor thesis is dedicated to the development and use of melodic and rhythmical music instruments as a learning and musically didactic tool in kindergarten. In the practical part I will concentrate on music education in other kindergartens, I will study learning materials which are being used by the pedagogical staff and finally I will map the didactical tools used in kindergartens. I will research if the kindergarten teachers play any music instruments as well as those that are the most popular amongst them. As part of my thesis I will use research investigation tool such as questionnaires.

The bachelor´s thesis is focused on branding of company selling musical instruments. The first part of the thesis deals with theoretical knowledges. In the analytical part is application of theoretical knowledges on the observed company. Based on elaboration of individual branding elements of the company and competition, are processed activities suggestions for brand development of the company.
Digital modeling of the orchestra sound

This report is guide along simulation of sound sources and orchestra. Basic physical characteristics necessary to the simulation of sound sources are described here. Description of the creation of directivity files in ODEON and theirs conversion from CATT-Acoustic to ODEON are described here too. Acquired directivity files were used for simulation of orchestra and for testing the directivity characteristics to room acoustics parameters.
Insurance of art

The diploma thesis is focused on insurance of art. In the first part of the thesis the chapters contain areas of art which are insured in practice. The paper analyzes insurance of cultural heritage, works of art, musical instruments and cultural events. Each chapter describes the specifics of the areas and the most used kinds of insurance, including practical examples. In the last chapter of the first part I outline the situation abroad and its comparison with the Czech market. As an example, a foreign insurance company has been selected by AXA Art. The second part is devoted to insurance of Czech Philharmonic. It contains links to the orchestra, the historic building and the gallery. Funded organizations of the Ministry of Culture occupy a significant portion of the paper. In this thesis, I do not mention insurance in the film industry.
Sound recording with a focus on education
DITRICH, Vít
This bachelor work deals with sound recording, especially with that of musical instruments. At first the physical qualities of sound, basic terms and the introduction to acoustics are explained. We will discuss sources of sound, how the sound comes up and in which way the musical instruments work. Furthermore we will solve the most used types of microphones and their correct and suitable application. We will focus on each musical instrument and on ways how to write down sound to be the best. Then we will clear up the sound processing, how the process of recording goes and its easy adjustment, which can be used in musical editors. We will finish looking at the possibilities of saving the records and which audio file formats are mainly used by musicians.
Use of modern sacred music in liturgy in katolic church in Czech lands

The dissertation concerns the use of modern music during liturgy. The first chapter is devoted to a music mentioned in the Bible. Church documents about the music in liturgy are investigated in the second and third chapter. Fourth chapter describes musical instruments and their use. Fifth chapter brings knowledge about modern scared music in Czech countries from beginning till today. Sixth chapter describes particular genres of modern sacred music. The specification of genres begins with spirituals and gospel music. These songs are traditional sacred music from Africa and America. The chapter continues with church jazz and rock. These genres originate from traditional sacred music. The next is church folk and songs from Taizé. Sixth chapter ends with music with electronic instruments. Seventh chapter describes hymn-books from totalitarianism till the present. The dissertation closes with eighth chapter with the tittle Prognosis in the future which is about modern sacred music in future.
