Comparison of activities of the Mountain rescue service of the Czech republic and Mountain rescue service of the Slovak republic
ULEJOVÁ, Kateřina
The thesis is divided into two parts, namely the theoretical part and the research part. The theoretical part is divided into Slovak and Czech parts. In both parts, I will focus on the history of mountain services both in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, describe the organizational structure of these organizations, the binding legislation, the layout of the bases, the qualification requirements for the occupation of the mountain rescuer, their competencies and specializations. The research part examines and compares the differences between the Czech Mountain Rescue Service and the Slovak Mountain Rescue Service. To gain knowledge, I chose a qualitative type of research in the structured form with five Czech and five Slovak professional mountain rescuers. The goals were comparing competencies (medical and other competencies); I was also wondering about admissions and main content (the most frequent interventions) in different areas of expertise of mountain rescuers.
