Electrical system designs of the hotel complex with wellness
Veselý, Vít ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the implementation of the technical solution - the distribution of the electrical network of the hotel with wellness. The theoretical part of the thesis presents an analysis of the basic elements used for the design of substations and busbars and introduces the basic computational apparatus for sizing transformers and lines. The practical part presents the various technical solutions for the design of the electrical network of the site, specifically addressing the design of low voltage (LV) cable lines for two variants providing 100 % backup of the electrical supply to the site and two other variants providing 50 % backup. In addition to the technical design of the individual options, the work also presents for each option their detailed financial budgets, including their overall economic comparison.
Mechanical Design of Flywheel Energy Storage System
Hanáček, Jiří ; Šebesta, Karel (referee) ; Hartl, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focus on flywheel energy storage construction. The aim of the work is to discuss nowadays construction types of each component of these batteries. Single chapters are focused on rotor, bearings, motor generator and enclosure of the system. There is shown a basic principle of each component and itsfunction within the battery system, used materials and shapes and other factors influencing the construction. This thesis is also focused on stress analysis of metal and composite rotor, rotor fit with help of magnetic bearings, power transfer with help of motor generator and on the enclosure design of that mechanical battery.
Uninterruptible Power Supply
Mrázek, Petr ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and associated problems of backup power in case of unexpected outages of electricity. Start of work is dedicated to limitation of the electricity supplies, as well as their causes and consequences. Furthermore, brief history of UPS and subsequently distinguish between UPS’s architectures. There is also a description of the energy sources such as batteries, flywheels or fuel cells. Part of thesis describes security of electricity supply in health care facilities, including requirements for emergency power. The own design of UPS is described in the end.
Feasibility study of the pumped storage power station
Račoch, Tomáš ; Pavlíček, Michal (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the feasibility study of the pumped storage power station in Střekov na Labi. The aim of the thesis is the design of one variant of the building and technological part of the power house. The study is divided into several parts, consisting of engineering report, hydraulic calculations, drawing documentation and photo-documentation.
Feasibility study of the pumped storage power station
Kratina, Jakub ; Duchan, David (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
Pumped storage power stations are an integral part of all power systems. At pre-sent, they represent perhaps the only option to accumulate more surplus electricity. It is also built as a proven regulatory element of the power system. The content of this bachelor thesis is a study of feasibility of the pumped storage power stationt (PVE Podlešín) in the Vaňov area. The introduction deals with the issue of pumped srorage power station. Then the design of a technical solution for the power plant construction follows. The main part of the study is the elaboration of drawing documentation and technical reports.
Design of electrical substation for office building
Ličman, Petr ; Ptáček, Michal (referee) ; Novotný, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes a design of an electrical substation for office building. The first part deals with requirements for the supply of electricity and its quality. Because of the possibility of power supply interruption, the thesis also addresses the use of alternative sources. These can be divided into static sources (UPS) and rotating sources (motor-generator). The thesis also focuses on the issue of auto-switching power sources. In the practical part, the main power distribution of the building is designed, which also contains the main elements such as high-voltage switchgear, transformer, motor-generator and UPS. Focus on alternative sources has led to creating two variants of a backup system.
Electrical installation of surgery room
Pospíšil, David ; Rozman, Jiří (referee) ; Hrozek, Jan (advisor)
The main objective of this bachelor´s thesis is to get know about essentials of electrical installations with aim for medical applications, standards and requirements. Characterization of component’s parameters used in the course of surgery rooms realization icluded as the same as description of applied medical devices and its engineering solution. Own realisation of project comes at the end. Reader of this bachelor´s thesis will take an image about planning electrical installations, its usage in health service and will have a concept of medical parts in this branch, modern equipment, its parameters and acquirements. He will know about principles of mentioned machinery.
Alternative Sources of Electrical Energy in Buildings
Polívka, František ; Pavelka, Tomáš (referee) ; Novotný, Jan (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor´s thesis is alternative sources of electric energy in buildings. First of all, the thesis presents the up-to-date types of alternative sources. The main alternative sources are the static resources such as UPS and the rotary convertors such as motor-generator. The first part bachelor´s thesis I divided and described the alternative sources according to the point of view for example structure, functions and main parameters. The second part deals, design alternative sources for the specified object. The aim of this thesis is to summarize all the knowledge of the alternative sources to analyse their pros and cons and to alternative information about their usage, and in practice, to propose an alternative source of a particular object.
