Hedonické nacenění Tartiniho náměsti v Pirani
Hegyi, Patrik
The bachelor’s thesis deals with hedonic valuation of Tartini Square in Piran from the perspective of tourists. The basic research question is how much tourists value Tartini Square. The aim of the thesis was to identify factors influencing accommodation prices, utilize multiple regression analysis and the OLS method to create an econometric model. The data were obtained from the Booking.com platform for the time period of July and August 2023. The first part of the thesis fo-cuses on identifying hedonic prices, the second on introducing the destination and the third on econometric modelling. The results are presented and compared using the Gretl software. Hedonic pricing, Piran, OLS method, Tartini Square, non-competitive pricing strategies
Dopady vývoje hlavních makroekonomických ukazatelů na exportní výkonnost české ekonomiky
Šibal, Filip
Šibal, F. The impacts of the development of selected macroeconomic indicators on the export efficiency of the Czech economy. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel Univer-sity, 2020. Bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the influence of the selected macroeco-nomic indicators on the Czech export into Germany, the European Union and the Euro Zone. It focuses on the changes of the GDP, CPI, real effective exchange rate, interest rate and unemployment rate. The first part of the thesis focuses on the main terms of the foreign trade and shows the development of the foreign trade in Czech Republic. There are also theoretical concepts of econometrics methods which are used in the practical part of the thesis. The second part contains the regression analysis of time series with quarterly pe-riod between years 2000-2019. The multiple regression analysis is used, and con-structed models are estimated by the OLS method. The results of the analysis con-firm the influence of first differences of the GDP, CPI and real effective exchange rate on the Czech export into selected regions.
Ekonometrické modelovanie výkonu fondov
Tuchyňová, Barbora
In this diploma thesis we gather information on European mutual funds and ETFs that would help to inform the decision of an investment manager. We cre-ated OLS models for three types of mutual funds - money market, bond and equity – to demonstrate a relationship between funds' volatility and their annualised return. We then utilised VAR models to test Granger causation between an ETF and its tracking index using their net asset value.
Causes of Inflation in Ghana
Gyan-Amoah, Emmanuel
Abstract The study seeks to investigate the factors that influence inflation in Ghana. It uses an annual time series data from 1992 to 2017 in Ghana, which was obtained from the World Bank's World Development Indicator and regression analysis involving the use of Ordinary Least Square (i.e. OLS) method to evaluate the impact of factors (e.g. Government Final Expenditure, Current Account, Broad Money Growth) on the inflation in the Ghanaian economy. The result of the study shows that the Current Account has a positive and statistically significant connection with inflation. However, the Government Final Expenditure has a positive and no significant impact on the inflation. The Broad Money Growth has a positive and statistically significant effect on inflation. The conclusion is that the Current Account balance and the Broad Money Growth play positive and very significant role in influencing inflation in Ghana.

Vojtěská, Barbora
Vojtěská, B., Sale prices of flats in the Czech Republic. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2019. Diploma thesis deals with the issue of price determination of flats. The aim of the work is to identify determinants affecting the sales prices of flats within the individual regions of the Czech Republic and also within the Czech Republic as a whole. In the chapter of the methodology, factors influencing the prices of flats are specified and subsequently appropriately expressed. Regression analysis results in two pricing models (for standard and alternative expression of variables) constructed using the ordinary least squares method (OLS). The resulting model showed that the sale price of a flat in the Czech Republic affects the number of rooms, m2, energy value, whether a terrace, balcony, cellar, garage or elevator belongs to the flat. In addition, the price of the flat is affected by the type of ownership, the condition of the flat, the type of masonry, whether it is located in the regional city, if there is a UNESCO monument in the city, and the locality, in this case designated by individual regions of the Czech Republic. Part of the work are also price maps compiled for the best-selling flats in the Czech Republic in terms of number of rooms.
Returns to education in selected countries
Jonáš, Václav ; Brožová, Dagmar (advisor) ; Svoboda, Miroslav (referee)
This thesis deals with effect of schooling and educational attainment on wages. It is based on hypothesis that additional year of education increases productivity and thus wages. It examines average length of education and returns to education in eight countries. It is based on ISSP study (International Social Survey Programme) from 2009. I conclude that average length of study is prolonging. Returns to education usually vary between 5 and 10%. This phenomenon is confirmed in this thesis. I use model which is base on work of Jacob Mincer (1974) and I calculate returns to education. These returns vary between 4.8 and 13.5%. In addition, I examine wage differential among people with primary, secondary and university education.
