Application of Decision-Making Methods
Jandáková, Lenka ; Macák, Tomáš (advisor) ; Jana, Jana (referee)
The theme of this diploma these is the application of decision-making methods. At the first part of this these are defined the basic terms which are used at the decision-making theory. This these is interested in the decision-making process, elements of the decision-making process, methods which can help you to definate targets. And it is also focused on choosen methods which are used at the multicriterial decision-making methods. At this these are described basic and complicated methods - Ranking Method, Scoring Method, Saaty's Method and AHP Method. The second part of this these is focused on choosing the glass furnance for a small company. To choose the right furnance were applicated method which are meant upper. The glass gurnance were evaluated according their price, weight, height, inner averenge, energy output and temperature.
Mobile Phones Choice for Chosen Company Employees
Jiskrová, Markéta ; Houšková Beránková, Martina (advisor) ; Mudrychová, Kristýna (referee)
The aim of this Bachelor's thesis is to help select mobile phones choice for company employees using multiple criteria decision-making methods. The first part of this thesis focuses on general multiple criteria decision-making processes, criteria determination methods and compromise option choice methods. This part deals with Saaty's matrix, the sum approach method and AHP method in detail, which are applied in the second part of this thesis in practice. The second part consists of A case study which is indirectly divided into two parts. The first part of the case study contains a description of Staropramen, s. r. o., the procedure for selecting mobile phones used by the company and a description of the required parameters. The second part of the case study focuses on simulation of the selection process and application of the sum approach method and AHP method. In the end of this Bachelor's thesis suitable methods are recommended which can be applied to a general selection process in the Staropramen company.
Multiple Criteria Decison Making in Firm Practice
Benda, Pavel ; Dömeová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Hlavatý, Robert (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with the use of multiple criteria decision making methods by choosing of new firm notebooks for employees in firm. Theoretical part deals with brief description of multiple criteria decision making theory, the essence of multiple criteria decision making use, methods to designate type of a variants and their rating and methods for assessment scales of criteria. The practical part displays assessment of criteria and their scales with help of interview with leadership of firm. Analysis of Competitors in Selected company in the field of Staff Training
Motlová, Simona ; Bartoška, Jan (advisor) ; Martina, Martina (referee)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze and compare selected training company with its competitors on the market for adult education in the Czech Republic. The theoretical basis consists of a literature research which is divided into three main themes. The first theme is the theoretical base of adult education, the second theme is the theory of competitive environment and market analysis. The last theoretical base are mathematical models of multicriteria evaluation of alternatives used in the practical part. The practical part contains of fundamental information about chosen company and its competitors and creation and usage of unique methodology for companies comparison. Criterions were identified and interpreted by using Saaty's pairwise comparison method. Then there is a comparison of companies according to each individual criterion. This research lead to inception of a table with companies ordered from the best to the least successful. The results are discussed in the end. It includes various points of view on extracted information about competitiveness of companies.
Multiple criteria decision in the company
Moravová, Alžběta ; Brožová, Helena (advisor) ; Frajtová, Veronika (referee)
Thesis deals with the use of economic-mathematical methods in selecting the most suitable candidate. The theoretical part focuses mainly on the definition of basic concepts in the field of human resources, explaining the basic theory of multi-criteria decision-theoretic methods of multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives and their use in recruitment to a particular job in the company. The practical part is research using AHP, treatment and research. The result of the decision was finding a compromise alternative.
Choice of accommodation for a student not living in Prague
Obr, Martin ; Brožová, Helena (advisor) ; Andrea, Andrea (referee)
Summary This bachelor thesis on the topic Choice of accommodation for a student not living in Prague consists of two parts. The first part deals with a literature review whereas the second part is analytical. The literature review and analytical section are further divided into chapters and subchapters. The literature review was used to explain the basic terms and methods which are related to the multi-criteria decision. At the beginning of the literature review emphasis is placed on defining and explaining of key components of multi-criteria analysis, concerning particularly the clarification of terms criteria and variants. At the end of the literature review is included a thorough explanation of the AHP method, which is also used in the analytical part. The analytical section starts with the presentation of criteria and variants of accomodation choice, which were used with the assistance of the AHP method. This method is supposed to determine which option is best suited for a given model student of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. The following chapters introduce two model students and their demands for accommodation. Other sections contain detailed compromise variant calculations for both students followed by the final result comparison. The conclusion summarizes the results of applied methods and conclusions are drawn from the results.
Apply the methods of multicriterial decision making in the public sector
DUŠEK, Jan
The main purpose of this thesis was the application of the multicriterial decision making options methods on specific decision situations in the public sector. The task was to present the most important methods and to show the possibility of their use in reality. From the methods requiring ordinal information I chose the Cook - Seiford method which can be utilized when the sources are limited. From the cardinal data requiring methods I chose the Weighted Sum Approach method and the AHP method (based on the calculation of values of the utility function), the TOPSIS method (based on the minimization of distance from the ideal option) and the ELECTRE I. method (based on the plotting of the preferential relation).
