Overcharging of combustion engines
Vojtěšek, Aleš ; Vopařil, Jan (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with outline the history of supercharging and dismantling of several major ways. In particular the use of mechanical supercharging and turbocharging, mentioning its positive and negative sides. Furhetmore, introducing of several versions of the combined supercharging and expected future developments.
Overcharginh of SI and CI Engines
Čavoj, Ondřej ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis is focused on overcharging and its influence on spark-ignition and diesel engines. It describes common overcharging methods, including their advantages and disadvantages. In analysing the most regular of them, it also mentions their design elements and possibilities of eliminating some of their weak points. It also contains short summary of this segment’s history, the view on possible future development and at the end even examples of overcharged engines.
Developments in an internal combustion engine supercharging
Bazala, Jiří ; Rasch, František (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor’s dissertation deals with the topic of turbocharging. It examines various types of turbocharging and a selection of turbocharged engines. In one chapter there is a comparison between a modern turbocharged engine a normally aspirated engine, and also some interesting facts about turbocharging technology.
Supercharged SI engine
Janíček, Michal ; Bazala, Jiří (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the selection of an eligible supercharger for cooperation with the internal combustion SI engine Honda K20A2. The first part is dedicated to the research referring to an issue of charging and a brief description of particular supercharger types. However, the main part of the thesis consists in the formation of proposal calculation and the tentative choice of the eligible type of supercharger. The part of the work is also the description of the assigned engine and the measurement of its parameters. The most extensive part of the thesis deals with the making of computational model of the atmospheric and supercharged version of the engine and the consecutive simulations in the GT-Power software. Finally, gained results are evaluated and the computational study of the cooperation of the selected supercharger with assigned combustion engine is made in the last part of the diploma thesis.
Návrh přeplňování pístového spalovacího motoru
Horký, Václav
This thesis deals with issues of the turbocharging spark-ignition petrol engines. In the theoretical part general problems of supercharging and individual design solutions are described. In the practical section the design of turbocharging BMW spark-ignition petrol engine has been described and implemented and functionality and its parameters were verified on a chassis dynamometer.
Návrh způsobu přeplňování spalovacího motoru
Pištělka, Ondřej
This thesis shows a designing and manufacturing process of a supercharging system for an formerly naturally aspirated internal combustion engine. Theoretiacal section of this thesis offers an overview of most commonly used forced induction systems on today’s market. The design of supercharging system incorporates a roots style mechanical supercharger and is realized on Mazda B-Series engine with programmable standalone engine control unit. Engines’s parameters were then tested on a chassis dynamometer and evaluated. In the final part od the process, the fueling and ignition tables were fine-tuned, using an oxygen sensor, to achieve desired results.

Přeplňování vozidlových motorů
Frei, Patrik
The content of this bachelor thesis is dedicated to turbocharging of combustion engines. Work begins by description of the history of turbocharging. It also describes the turbocharging of spark ignition and compression ignition engines. Another part is the description of the p-V diagram of combustion engines. Follow a description of the ways of turbocharging and explain principles of operation and construction, it is the more extensive part dedicated turbocharging. The following section describes the compressed air cooling and finally a description of new trends in the field of turbocharging.
