Parameter estimation based on estimated data
Lachout, Petr
Linear regression model containing nuisance parameters is considered. Stability of estimators derived by OLS- or M-estimation procedure is treated while the nuisance parameters are replaced by their estimation.
Mathematical modeling of cardiovascular system
Brož, Z. ; Maršík, František ; Převorovská, Světlana
The paper deals with the numerical model of the human cardiovascular system of pulsating type imittating the electrochemical and mechanical activity of hearth. the software developed for this model is described also.
Heart failure support in mathematical model with baroreflex control
Musil, Jan ; Převorovská, Světlana ; Maršík, František
The function of the mechanical support in the case of the heart failure in the consequence of the left heart ventricle hypocontractility has been simulated by the numerical model of the cardiovascular system with the baroreflex control which has been developed at the IT CAS.
Model analysis of effects of hydrodynamics and nutrient loading to water-quality in a dimictic reservoir (Jordán)
Jarošík, Jiří ; Hejzlar, Josef ; Borovec, Jakub ; Růžička, Martin
The dynamic, two-dimensional model CE-QUAL-W2 was used to simulate recovery conditions in the eutrophic Jordan Reservoir. The aims were: (i) to calibrate the model and discuss differences between simulated and measured data; (ii) to use the calibrated model to determine the effects of external and internal phosphorus load and the depth of outlet on trophic conditions. After calibration the model reproduced thermal stratification, oxygen regime and concentrations of NO3-N with sufficient precision. Simulation of PO4-P was less exact. The results of mathematical simulation showed that (i) the required mesotrophic level cannot be accomplished without a significant decrease in inflow concentration of total phosphorus; (ii) the internal load of phosphorus is small and become insignificant after decrease of external load; and (iii) the use of bottom outlet is a potentially efficient method to partly decrease trophic level of Jordan Reservoir.
New product installation simulation
Medonos, Michal ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Kuncová, Martina (referee)
One of the products produced by Motorpal a.s. is a camshaft. Recently, the company signed a contract with Bosch company to produce new types of camshaft. The analysis of the impact of the contract on the production was made by simulation. To perform the simulation it was necessary to map the whole process. The simulation of the current state was made in the first phase. The results shew many uneffectivnesses in the process and lack of capacity of some workplaces. Some changes in the process were suggested and tested with the aid of the simulation. The best results were achieved when the single-item flow was used. In the second phase the production of a new type of camshaft was added to the simulation. Analysis of these results was divided into two parts. The new production was analysed in the first part and it was discovered that the planned capacites are very deficient. The impact of the new production on the current one was analysed in the second part. It shew that this impact is negativ, especially on the duration of production.
Application of Linear Programming on Project Management
Hrnčířová, Michala ; Zouhar, Jan (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
There are two approaches to solving project management tasks. The first method is using specialized algorithms that do not always give optimal results. The second way is to use linear programming which includes designing mathematical models that are then solved by optimization systems. In my thesis I am dealing with three types of optimization tasks, two of which are basic linear programming tasks: basic project time scheduling and time scheduling of a project with variable action lengths. The focal point of the thesis is to assemble a mathematical model to solve the time scheduling of a project with limited resources. My goal is to design general mathematical models and to compare the results gained by the use of linear programming with those of specialized algorithms.
Econometric analysis of energy consumption in a selected brewery
Peclinovský, Zdeněk ; Pánková, Václava (advisor) ; Lejnarová, Šárka (referee)
This thesis deals with a real application of econometric methods to the analysis of electric energy consumption in a significant Czech brewery. The main objective is to construct a model predicting the electric energy consumption in the production process in the next week based on various data measured in the last 2 years. Results will be used in the costs management of the company.
Financial optimization
Mynařík, Petr ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Blažek, Radovan (referee)
The thesis describes a way of searching a better financial opportunities. The first part is about the multiple criteria decision making. I focus on application methods of multicriterial evaluation of alternatives on different possibilities of solving retirement. The target is to compare different possibilities and then suggest a solution. The second part is about the linear programming. The main objective of the diploma thesis is to suggest a create mathematical model, which I will use in my profession. This mathematical model will display results, which tell us how we can solve the question of money and finance.
Hybrid flowshop with adjustment
Kaněra, Vojtěch ; Pelikán, Jan (advisor)
This work should serve as a source of information on the issue of production scheduling. The work is particularly focused on the relatively new terms in optimization of processing of production batches area, such as flowshop and its modifications in the form of so-called hybrid flowshop. The work is divided into five chapters. The first chapter consists of an introduction. In the second chapter I mention the theory of scheduling, the third part deals with the history of flowshop and in the fourth part I check the functionality of new models on real data. In conclusion I summarize the contents of work, comment resulting calculations and deliver the practical usage of flowshop.
