The aim of this thesis is to describe the recruitment and selection process at A.T. Kearney. Thesis is focused on a description of current practices and methods of recruitment and selection process in the company, recommendations how to improve the process are part of the thesis as well. This thesis is divided into two parts. In theoretical part, reader is informed about particular phases and methods of recruitment and selection process. Practical part consists of A.T. Kearney introduction, selection and recruiting process characteristics and analysis and survey. Survey investigates the students' preferences and factors relevant when selecting future employer as representatives of the youngest generation in the working age, Generation Y. At the end, there are the recommendations for improvement of current practices of A.T. Kearney recruitment and selection process.

Conducting management consulting project for Transparency International Czech Republic, the leading non-profit non-governmental organization active in anti-corruption practices, by applying selected project management and problem solving methods, the objective of the thesis is to support the assumption that proper selection and application of suitable methods to problem identification, definition and decomposition enables to come up with the solution of the problem by analyzing it with no need for further solution development.
Strategy of Small Management Consulting Firm

Main goal of the thesis is an analysis of a position and resources of a real small management consulting firm, then to suggest possible strategic scenarios of a firm's expansion. The theoretical part contains issues related to general strategic management. The issues are accompanied by alternative points of view on a strategic planning, for example by Mantra and Master Idea concepts and Effectuation. Consequently, specific issues of management consulting firms related to strategic management are described. Whole theoretical part is based on world literature primarily. The practical part of the thesis starts by a description of the analyzed firm and strategic premises of firm's owners. Next part is an analysis of a firm's position and resources. It consists of analyzes of external macro and micro environment, analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. After analyzes, there are strategic scenarios and consequent strategic steps described. The steps are divided onto three groups. First group consist of steps which influence whole firm. Second group contains steps on a field of management consulting. Last group is focused on education market.
Selected problems in management consulting

Nowadays, management consulting represents one of the primes of economy of knowledge. The beginning dates back to beginning of the classical management way, today's form shapes in early of this century. The factors, that have influenced today's form of this industry, are shakeout, commoditization and innovation. The first part of the thesis analyses these trends. The second part analyses the processes inside the management consulting. Those processes can be divided into those that lead to the completion of the contract and those that follow the completion of the contract. The thesis analyses the most frequently used methods, selects the most important analytical models and successful practices that help consultant in realization of a change that is the essence of the management consulting.
Management Consulting

Management Consulting is a profession which is developing very quickly all over the world including Czech Republic. It offers useful services for businesses as well as for non-profit and public sector. It is also attractive opportunity for fresh university graduates not only of business studies. In this project I strive to define this field and its origin as well as to describe the structure of a typical consulting firm and to predict future trends in management consulting. I used the accessible literature, analysis and personal interviews with consultants and prospective candidates. At the end I incorporated two case studies as an example of how management consulting works.

Práce se ve své teoretické části zabývá manažerským poradenstvím v oblasti IT a definuje produkty IT poradenství dle literatury. V praktické části je provedena analýza trhu IT poradenství v ČR a následně analýza tří vybraných IT poradenských společností v České republice. Na základě této analýzy je v závěru této práce zpracován model úspěšné IT poradenské firmy.
