Lontras, D., Financing system of small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany and Great Britain. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. The thesis describes the financing systems of small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany and the Great Britain. Furthermore, an indicator for evaluating the financial performance of SMEs is identified, according to which the performance of SMEs in Germany and Great Britain in the construction and manufacturing sub-sectors is assessed. Comparison of both countries shows that Germany is a country with better rating of SMEs according to Altman's Z' score. The main contribution of this thesis is the evaluation of financial performance according to the bankruptcy model of Altman Z' score, which enables us to moni-tor the development of this value over time, indicating large, partial or minimal financial difficulties. Next added value of the these is the assessment of the data obtained at two levels, where the first level is aimed at assessment of the development at the level of the whole sector and the second at the level of individual enterprises.
Czech Small and Medium Enterprises Entering the Chinese Market

This diploma thesis deals with Czech economic diplomacy as an instrument or rather tool of the foreign policy of the Czech Republic to promote its economic interests and goals in the People´s Republic of China. Specifically, it deals with the state pro-export policy and state support of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the process of entering Chinese market. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter explores the concept of economic diplomacy and the models of the governance of economic diplomacy in the world as well as in the Czech Republic. The second chapter focuses on the realization of the Czech economic diplomacy in China, analyzes the Czech-Chinese foreign trade and the development of political and diplomatic relations between the two countries. The third chapter is devoted to the SMEs and their penetration of the Chinese market. It explains the importance of the SMEs to the Czech economy and export and defines the phases of the penetration. In this chapter, the author examines how the state supports the SMEs entering the Chinese market and whether this support covers all phases of this complex process. Finally, the author explains why SMEs are not satisfied with the state support of export and outlines possible solutions.
Credibility and bankruptcy models in practice

This bachelor thesis deals with the following bankruptcy and credibility models: index IN05, Edmister model, Fulmer H-score and Altman Z-score. The aim is to find a model that has the best predicative ability for SMEs. Bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part each model, its characteristics and method of calculation will be introduced. In the practical part the selected bankruptcy and credibility models will be applied on a sample of 20 bankrupt SMEs in Czech Republic.
