Measurement of the Magnetic Field
Šimberský, Michal ; Uher, Miroslav (referee) ; Fialka, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the measurement of the magnetic field and sensors, which can scan the magnetic field. In this work is explained the principle of Hall probes and three types of magnetic field sensors based on magnetoresistive principles namely AMR, GMR and TMR sensors. The thesis also deals with the generation of a homogeneous magnetic field with Helmholtz coils and design of such a coil.
Electronic Compass
Špaňhel, Petr ; Slaný, Karel (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with a design and construction of equipment that should offer an easy approach to measurement of temperature, air pressure and angular orientation to the Earth surface. Subsequently, this set of infromation will be shown in a concise way on a graphic LCD display. The introductory chapter provides a general outline to the hardware conception, which primarily involves reading of data from sensors and their graphical visualization. Details on control firmware aspects are included in the following two chpaters. Fourth chapter is aimed at device operation and its user interface. Finally, evaluation of the results and conclusion is provided.
Ionic microclimate of buildings in the architectural design
Holopírková, Lucie ; Urbášková, Hana (referee) ; Eyer, David (referee) ; Meixner, Miloslav (advisor)
One of the main priorities of our society is to constantly increase the quality of life. Part of the new trends and technology is to optimize all factors affecting each individual in buildings at home, and in the work environment. Modern technology increasingly find inspiration in traditional materials and principles of architectural design. We can greatly affect the microclimate of buildings by suitable selection of material surfaces, ventilation systems and selection of structures that can affect the natural electromagnetic field of the Earth during the architectural design of buildings. And particular choice of the place where the building is located. In this thesis I focus on Ionic microclimate, which may be an indicator of a healthy environment and has a major impact on humans health and psychological well-being. I would like to contribute to the healthy and harmonious living and designing buildings in consideraion of sustainable development by my thesis.

Earth as a dynamic body
Dlask, Martin ; Čížková, Hana (advisor) ; Drozd, Zdeněk (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to serve as explanatory instrument for teachers and their students during geography and physics classes on gymnasiums. The main goal of this thesis is to extend the knowledge of physics the Earth. This thesis is primaryly focused on introducing the Earth as dynamic body.I explain, that energy released during cooling of the Earth is responsible for plate tectonics, volcanic and seismic activity, and internal magnetic field. The influence of geomagnetism on the behavior of dogs
PLACHOVÁ, Denisa
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to evaluate the influence of geomagnetism on the dog. The theoretical part contains information from technical literature and articles concerning the ability of different species (from primitive organisms to large mammals) perceive the Earth's magnetic field and use it for their orientation and navigation. The practical part deals with own observation of the dog of the breed called pug, when was watched the spontaneous directional orientation of the dog during feeding, resting and excreting. Monitoring was carried out in a few months and the only tool, which was used was the compass, by which was recorded the direction in which the head of the dog was oriented during the individual activities. All measured values were entered into the tables created in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and after that were statistically evaluated. From the evaluated data emerged that the dog during each of the monitored activity exhibited some directional preference. When feeding the dog preferred axis NW/SE, when resting S/SE direction and during excretion preferred axis NW/SE.
The influence of geomagnetism on the behavior of wild ducks
CHODIL, Josef
This work consists in an influence of the earth?s magnetic field to the orientation of the landing of wild ducks on a water surface. Some of the animal species perceive the magnetic field and they can use it for their orientation (migratory birds, bats, underground rodents, turtles and newts) Another variant of perceiving the magnetic field are the natural reactions (move tendency of cattle and deer at the pasturage, the orientation of carp in vats). Landing of wild ducks to a water surface is an unwilled reaction of perceiving the magnetic field. The material for this work was gained by the direct observation in nature. Observation was realized during the different terms of day and during the weather changes. The following data were written down: arrival, landing preparation, whole landing, wind power and the direction, weather conditions, disturbing influences, the position of sun, the distance of the bank during the landing. The analysis of acquired information proved the wild ducks prefer the southeast direction during the landing on a water surface.
