The Use of EU Funds in the Towns of Třeboň and Bechyně

The regional policy of the European Union or the cohesion policy is the second most important policy of the Europe-an Union according to expenditure of the EU budget. In the 2007-2013 programming period, regional policy was realized through the Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund of the EU. The bachelor's thesis focuses on the descrip-tion of the cohesion policy of the EU as well as the implementation of this policy in the Czech Republic in the last seven-year programming period (2007-2013). The aim of the bachelor thesis is to compare the use of EU funds in the 2007-2013 programming period. For comparison, two spa towns in South Bohemia are used - the town of Třeboň and the town of Bechyně and the attention is paid to support of tourism there. In conclusion, the obtained data are supplemented by interviews with representatives of local government.

Urbanistic development of the town of Třeboň: a historico-geographical analysis.

The bachelor thesis deals with urbanistic, demographic, economic and historical evaluation of the town of Třeboň. The main goal of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive image of the town of Třeboň from its founding up to the present time; to monitor the function of individual parts of the town in the given time periods, to evaluate and generally compare individual indicators and to deduce from the statistical data the consequences that directly influenced the urbanistic development of the town. The rate of urbanization, migration, fertility, age structure of the population, population growth rate and others belong all among the relevant indicators. The results of the survey are focused on the establishment of conclusive determinants influencing the development of the town of Třeboň and they are also focused on the evaluation of the hypotheses stated in advance.

Analysis of public procurement in chosen town

The bachelor's thesis is dedicated to analysis of public procurement in Trebon. Firstly, the issue of public procurement in the Czech Republic is explained from the legal and economic perspective. The next chapter focuses on the budget of Trebon. In the third chapter, the analysis of public procurement is made and finally in the last chapter, the results are compared to the data about public procurement in the Czech Republic which have been analysed in the first chapter.

The progress of spa tourism during the period of 2009-2013

Spa tourism plays a very important role in the South Bohemian town of Třeboň. Spa tourists belong to the most numerous visitors who visit this town. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the progress of spa tourism in Třeboň during the years of 2009-2013 and also to analyse the results of the survey itself. This bachelor thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the tourism industry, spa tourism, its history, spa treatment and spa services which are provided in spa facilities. The practical part deals with what is on offer from the tourism industry in Třeboň, mainly from the point of view of the tourist attraction but also of spa tourism and services. Others chapters of the practical part deal with the evaluation of the selected indicators in the specified years with regard to changes of the indication list for spa treatment, assess the quality and suggest possible improvement of spa services in Třeboň.
