This bachelor’s thesis presents evaluating of speech intelligibility in environment with noise. There are described two methods to reach this purpose – articulation index and speech intelligibility index, according to relevant standards. Part of this thesis deals with measurement of sound pressure to calculation sound pressure spectrum level. The last part of this work includes voice recordings of eight people and noise recordings of moving car in interior for different situations and their processing and evaluation.

Spread of sound pressure on a tractor JCB Fastrac

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to determine the way how noise spreads from a tractor, noisiness at operator during different operations and then to enumerate equivalent sound-pressure level. The tractor JCB Fastrac 2170 was used for measurement. The first part of the thesis introduces the noise issue, noise of tractors, and then the development of Fastrac tractors. The next part of the thesis shows measured values of the observed tractor in graphs. Then equivalent sound-pressure levels are enumerated from those measured values. In conclusion, these values are evaluated and compared.
