Design of a Supply Strategy Using an ABC/XYZ Analysis
Mahdalová, Eva ; MBA, Petr Novotný, (referee) ; Bartošek, Vladimír (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of inventory management. Using ABC, XYZ and ABC / XYZ analysis material items will be divided into nine categories based on their characteristics such as the importance and volatility of consumption. For each category will be defined management strategies so as to obtain optimal inventory levels, while minimizing costs and ensuring trouble-free production.
The Proposal for Improvement of Supply Management
Krejčí, Petra ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Mikulec, Luděk (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the study and optimization of inventory management in company XXX Ltd. The theoretical part is dedicated to characteristic of basic concepts related to inventory management, their classification, related costs and inventory management methods. Practical part is focused on the analysis of the current state in the company, on providing, storage and controlling of inventory. This analysis reveals deficiencies for which several solutions will be suggested. They will lead to more effective inventory management in the company.
Analysis and Optimization of Selected Business Processes
Pavlík, David ; Smíšek, Jiří (referee) ; Mazlová, Tamara (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the problematics of optimization of selected business processes. Thesis is divided into the theoretical, analytical and proposal part. The theoretical part defines basic concepts of selected problematics. The analytical part of the work describes the company where the thesis is processed. The practical part describes how an analysis of the current state of selected processes was done and how the optimization (improvement) of efficiency of the processes in the company ZETOR TRACTORS a.s. was designed.
Management of the selected supply chain
ŠOPÍKOVÁ, Angelika
This thesis deals with the study of logistics and supply chain management in the manufacturing company in České Budějovice. In the introductory part of the thesis there are mentioned theoretical basis of logistics, logistic control and logistic technology. In the practical part of the thesis there is made the analysis of examined company. The analysis was focused on the preparation of the production plan and the ability to identify the main factors affecting the running of production. The next part is focused on monitoring the production line technological planning and the ability to analyze the plan. After the detection of deviations, were proposed solutions for improvements.
Optimization of waste reverse logistics management system
VALTA, Tomáš
The target and aim of this diploma thesis was the optimization of the waste management reverse logistics system in the framework of FAST Kovošrot, Ltd. as a provider of waste management services. It is a company engaged in the purchase, processing and subsequent sale of metal waste mainly on the territory of the South Bohemian Region and Vysočina. It is therefore obvious that reverse logistics is the mainstay of almost all the company's activities. As part of the study of the backlog logistics flows of the selected company, the necessary amount of information and data was obtained for the subsequent optimization of the system. All data was obtained through managed interviews, direct attendance observation, and the study of available in-house statements. On the basis of such documents, the area of data exchange was designated as an area with potential for streamlining the overall process and introducing an electronic communication system. A thorough study of the current communication system between the business and its business partners was followed by which the individual data and values were sorted out. It has been found that the company uses classical data exchange, type of invoices and orders, that is, their receipt and distribution in paper form, which results in individual costs of postage, printing and others, as explained in the practical part of the thesis. At present, it is a rather outdated and ineffective system that can be innovated in spending. As another area with potential for improvement in terms of logistics technology operation, RFID tagging has been selected. The implementation of this method would require an initial investment, but would mean a significant increase in the efficiency of the registration and order picking for the company. The third proposed option for improving the functioning of the company's reverse logistics is to modify existing containers that would be equipped with ultrasonic sensors to capture their capacity.
The real use of operation research method in conjunction with logistics Cross-Docking technology
Dvořáková, Alžběta ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the real use of operation research method in conjunction with logistics Cross-Docking technology. It is possible to solve this conjunction with either routing problems along with its modifications or simulations methods. The theoretical part describes routing problems, routing problems with time windows, simulations methods with their possibilities of real use and logistics technologies. A model of a Cross-Docking terminal that was created in the program Simul8 can be found in the practical part of this thesis. The goal of the simulation was to ensure smooth flow of products through the terminal without any long queues in the terminal. Routing problems designed to minimize the length of its routes can be found in the second half of the practical part. Other possible real application is routing problems on the real problem. The solution for this task was found using the modelling system MPL for Windows.

Possibility of linking optimization models with logistics technologies
Vrbická, Jitka ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Fiala, Petr (referee)
This thesis focuses on linking optimization model of mixed linear programming with logistics technologies. To achieve the objective, the thesis is divided into two sections. The first section provides the necessary theory on linear programming and logistics. The second part focuses on the optimization model itself and its connection with the method JIT. This section also describes the application created in MS Excel spreadsheet, which then solves the issue. The application is linked with optimization softwares Lingo and MPL for Windows. The thesis conclusion demonstrates functionality of the application on an illustrative example and the optimization programs are compared based on the observed data. Based on the collected data, we can say that the optimization model is a suitable tool for the optimization of supply chains.
