Why the Maps Don't Tell the Truth

This bachelor thesis describes and explains the causes, but also the possibility of deliberate "lying" maps. In the first chapter the reader is introduced with the basic concepts and types of cartographic map projections. The second chapter is devoted to mapping the history of Bohemia. The third chapter deals with the deliberate distortion maps, such as during wars. The fourth chapter discusses the errors that the maps should always be. The fifth chapter describes the issues that funny but also serious political machinations. The last chapter describes the role of maps in economics and marketing.
