I summarize here history and basic concepts related to volleyball for their needin further investigation. I perform an analysis of three observed games, where every game is a sample of the developmental period in the rules of volleyball. Obtained datafor clearness are transformed into graphic form and here I determine theirinterdependence in order to find general relations between key variables describing thevolleyball match. As a secondary objective I will determine the average height of playersin the position of libero and conclude appropriate consequences from this.

The creation of a methodical series of exercises for the specialization of the libero in volleyball.
Dostálová, Veronika ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
In this Master's thesis I am focusing on the creation of a series of exercices for the libero player in volleyball. Exercises focus on the training of specific activities that are mandatory while participating in the game: passing, digging, setting and covering. In the description of individual game activities, always emphasize the key moments of training. The first part focuses on introducing readers to the theoretical basics of volleyball. The main focus is on the detailed description and analysis of the key gaming activities of libero such as mentioned before. The second part of the Master's thesis consists of the exercises I have created for libero player specialization. Exercises are divided into four parts, according to individual game activities. Exercises shown in kinograms (phased footage from the video that is verbally described). Attached to the Master's thesis is a video with a complete series of skill developing exercises with comments. Key words: libero, methodical series, pass, set, dig, cover
The analysis of certain moves by the libero in volleyball when not in possession of the ball
Dostálová, Veronika ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (referee)
This thesis focuses on the analysis of certain moves by the libero in volleyball when not in possession of the ball. I analyse individual sequences with the help of the DartFish software program, which I apply to situations following serve of my team and that of my opponent. Movement is analysed up to the moment the libero makes contact with the ball, as well as after contact. The theoretical section introduces the reader to volleyball as a sport. Here I address individual moves in play with emphasis on the actions of passing and digging, the libero's main functions. The conclusion of the theoretical section also provides basic information on the diagnostic programs Datavolley and DartFish, which are used for breaking down volleyball moves. In the research section, movement of the libero during a match while not in possession of the ball is analysed. I examine the distance of moves during individual rallies, the time of moves, starting positions, and positions while passing and digging. Conclusions are drawn based on the results, which are then evaluated and compared. Key words: libero, defence, starting position, movement in the court, analysis, DartFish. Hasalová, Zuzana ; Vomáčková, Helena (advisor) ; Satrapová, Lenka (referee)
Title: Postural strategy of volleyball players and their ability to dynamically stabilize. Objective: The aim of this diploma thesis is to find and describe the parameters, which enable the level of postural stabilization in professional volleyball players to be traced, depending on their playing position. These parameters were obtained by taking measurements using dynamic computer posturography (Smart EquiTest System). Methods: In this experiment, 10 professional players between the ages of 18 and 28, who actively compete in the highest national volleyball league, were specifically selected. The selected individuals were divided into groups according to their game specialization (left side hitter/ right side hitter (n = 3), middle blocker (n = 3), setter (n = 2) and libero (n = 2)). In addition, a control group was selected, consisting of 5 recreational volleyball players. In this thesis, in order to objectively assess the postural stability of test subjects (top athletes and control groups), Neurocom's Smart EquiTest System was used, and the measured data was then processed in Neurocom's Balance Manager Software. Statistical evaluation using Shapiro - Wilk's Normality Test, Student's t - test and Mann - Whitney test subsequently made it possible to compare the game specializations of the test...
