Valuation of a Forest
Rumanová, Jana ; Scheuer, Pavel (referee) ; Alexandr, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the thesis was to explore current approaches used for valuation according to the valuation regulation. The next aim was to choose appropriate method for finding usual price and compare it with the price assessed determined by administrative methods according to Valuation Decree. Comperative method was the chosen method. There are six forest properties from The Czech Republic evaluated in the practical part of the study. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes detected information from the area of valuation of forest.
Škody působené zvěří v lesních porostech LS Rychtářov a návrh opatření na jejich snížení
Valíček, Jakub
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify and describe the current status of damaged young covers by wild animals, to assess the expected impact on growth dynamism, further to evaluate the existing forest management, especially the use of methods and means to protect forests against game damages and to suggest measures to reduce damages of forest management Rychtářov, which is a part of the state enterprise Military forests and farms, Plumlov division. Therefore this thesis deals with the damages in one of three forest districts of mentioned division.
Heterogeneity in forest vegetation monitoring with remote sensing
Kolešová, Petra ; Kolář, Jan (advisor) ; Potůčková, Markéta (referee)
Heterogeneity in forest vegetation monitoring with remote sensing Abtract The main aim of this diploma thesis is to examine the suitability of various classification approaches for forest vegetation categorization using Landsat 8 satellite imagery. Two satellite images acquired during vegetative period (8th March, 27th July 2013) were chosen. The overall goal of the study is to explore the potential of using statistical methods to obtain information about forest heterogeneity in a given territory. Chosen study sites are defined by administrative boundaries of selected municipalities from South and Central Bohemia located within following municipalities with extended powers - Blatná, Milevsko, Písek, Příbram and Sedlčany. Supervised and unsupervised classifications were used based on obtained training areas and orthophoto. The definition of chosen classes (coniferous forests, mixed forests, ecotones, structurally homogeneous deciduous forests and structurally heterogeneous deciduous forests) was identical with the categories used in "Project MT 11425-5/2010 The Mapping of Natural Zoonoses Focal Points, Transferable on Humans in the Czech Republic and Their Changes Affected by the Modification of Climate". Due to large amount of training datasets obtained from field survey, ortophoto and spectral analysis,...
Classification of forests damaged by disturbance using multispectral satellite data
Šmausová, Barbora ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Červená, Lucie (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to create an appropriate methodological procedure for classifying damaged forest in the selected area of Šumava National Park. For this purpose, multispectral imagery WorldView-2 and Landsat 8 are used. Work emphasis on distribution of each phase of forest development affected by bark beetle. According to selected legend, involving multiple stages of damaged but also recovering forest, the images are classified by Neural Network, Support Vector Machine and object classification methods. Application of these methods on selected images required a suitable choice of parameters and rules to achieve optimal results. The results of this thesis compare and evaluate the final classification. Another outcome of this work is to evaluate the influence of the processed images WorldView-2 and Landsat 8 on the final classification performance. All work results are assessed by overall precision, error matrix and kappa coefficient. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Forest Valuation – Comparison of Valuation Methods in the Czech Republic – Ascertained Value and Market Value
Loskotová, Dominika ; Šafránek, Zbyněk (referee) ; Alexandr, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this study was to determine the most appropriate valuation method used for market valuation of forest property in the Czech Republic and to determine suitability for defined types of forest properties. Secondly, the aim was to compare market values with prices assessed determined by administrative methods according to Valuation Decree. Additionally, definitions and historical evolution relating to valuation of forest property and specificities of forest properties have been presented. In the theoretical part the study is analysing and comparing the evaluation methods. There are six forest properties from The Czech Republic evaluated in the practical part of the study. Four methods of evaluation have been demonstrated. The study compares used methods and evaluates suitability of each method for presented forest properties.
Economic evaluation of damages caused by bark beetle on forest stand in the district of Stribrne Hute
HEJNÁ, Jana
The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the damage caused by bark beetle on forest stand in the district of Stribne Hute which is managed by Forest Management Tabor. Forest stands are being damaged by various harmful effects which reduce theirs ecological stability. The damage is defined as a reduction of utility value or as a damage caused by adverse effects. Spruce bark beetle (Ips typographus L.) is significant part of entomocenosis and it is being considered as the most serious pest of spruce stands. Data from 2007 - 2012 were processed, it consisted of bark beetle matter production records, evaluation of timber harvest (especially random harvest) and calculation of revenues. The price lists of average values of spruce logs KH and A/B quality was used to calculate revenues from bark beetle matter and standard quality. The comparison of revenues was used to determinate the loss caused by bark beetle. Losses were minimal due to the quantity of bark beetle which did not reach state of emergency.
