Self-reflection of a student, who study leisure studies

This Bachelor thesis examines the method of self-reflection in the reflective practise as a tool for improving the professional and personal skills of students of leisure studies. First part deals with definitions and meanings of self-reflection and connection with process of reflection and the improvement of the reflective thinking. Next part examines also the charakteristics which a teacher of leisure studies should have and what education he must have to be able to work in the state organizations. The last part introduce practise in high school education and examies where is possible to impriove self-reflection skill.
What Is Leisure Studies?

This thesis describes Leisure Studies - a science concerning leisure developed mainly in English speaking countries. It provides an overview of the organisation structure of this discipline in terms of associations and university syllabuses as well as major journals and outstanding monographs. Different ways of defining and attitudes towards the phenomenon of leisure together with brief history of this discipline are also brought out. It also deals with the current topics of Leisure Studies, chosen and based on the author´s own empirical research, namely experts questioning and a key words study throughout the most distinguished relevant journals Leisure Studies, Leisure Sciences and Journal of Leisure Research. The most significant topics identified in this thesis are as follows: sociological and psychological definition of Leisure, its history, paradox, limitations of experiencing leisure, the relation of genders and leisure, leisure facilities and their ecological and economic prospects, sports, body and health and leisure education. In conclusion the author considers the relation of Leisure Studies and Leisure Time Education.
The free time teacher?s required and final competencies as a graduate at the Theological Faculty of the University of South Bohemia

This bachelor?s thesis concerns itself with the study of Leisure Education at the Theological Faculty of the University of South Bohemia. After becoming acquainted with the definitions and basic concepts, it becomes clear how and where to study Leisure Studies in the Czech Republic. The thesis also focuses on what is special about Leisure Studies at the Theological Faculty and following completion of all the subjects one can study, what competences the student will have gained. These new competences compare well with those that exist, and that are required in current educational practice.
Educational Methods Used in Salesian Youth Centres in the Czech Republic

The thesis deals with educational methods as a central element of the educational process as well as one of the original concepts of work in the Salesian youth centres from the standpoint of leisure studies. It is based on a qualitative research conceived as a content analysis of project documents of eight chosen youth centres. In the introduction, the concepts used are delimited, the problematics of Salesian youth centres in the Czech Republic and of educational methods practised there is theoretically presented. In the second part, the object, methods, process and results of the research are described. The other three parts are a synthesis of the knowledge gained in the analysis of the texts, complemented with information from other documents. These three parts describe thoroughly the concepts of education in Salesian youth centres (subjects, objectives, means, organisation forms and methods of education). In the crucial fifth part, treating educational methods, the lack of due attention to the educational methods in the examined documents is noticed.
Social-pedagogy Approaches in the Issue-based Youth Work Centres Dealing with the Unattached Youth

The presented work deals with social-pedagogy approaches in the issue-based youth work centres. The first part attends to the analysis of the idea {\clqq}unattached youth``. It takes aspect of the lifestyle sociology, the social education and the developmental psychology. The viewed group of the unattached youth is presented as a group of the adolescents; they have problems with the coping strategies in the post-modern society. The second part of the work takes their problems as a starting-point for the next reflec-tion. It determines criteria of the effective youth work dealing with the unattached youth. Finally the third applied part evaluates the four current types of the issue-based youth work: the German open youth work (Offene Kinder- und Jugendarbeit), the British youth work, the Czech issue-based youth work centres and the Czech open youth centres. The evaluation is focused on the criteria of the effective youth work dealing with the unat-tached youth; we derived in the second part. Overall the main aim of this work is to point out the effective issue-based youth work has to take into account the social and developmental needs of the target group.
