KULASOVÁ, Lucie
The aim of the thesis with title Evaluation of life insurance is to choose the most convenient insurance product for a specific client. Since we choose insurance on the basis of several criteria and it is not obvious at first sight which product is the most advantageous, it is suitable to use methods of multiple criteria decision making. In theoretical part basic notions concerning insurance industry and multiple criteria decision making are explained. Next, all methods which are used to determine weights of criteria and to choose the best variant are described in detail. For purposes of the thesis there were gathered drafts contracts for investment life insurance and risk life insurance from seven insurance companies, which means altogether fourteen contracts. In practical part evaluation criteria are determined in collaboration with client and their weights are calculated. Next, order of particular variants was determined. All process was in person consulted with a specialist from the area of insurance industry. On the basis of used methods of multicriterial evaluation of variants we can say that for the specific client the insurance product Bella Vita from the Insurance Company Generali is the best choice. In comparison with other alternatives it´s advantage is insurance payment already from the fifteenth day in case of incapacity for work, which arose as a consequence of injury and high insurance payment in case of hospitalization. If the client will choose investment variant or risk variant depends only on his decision, because their results are comparable.

Client chose nineteen criteria according to which the offers were evaluated. By means of method of order, method of giving points, Fuller method and method of progressive weight arrangement were assigned weights to particular criteria. Then the order of different variants was determined. For it method of order, method of giving points, method of weighted sum and TOPSIS were used. On the basis of the results of quantitative methods we aligned offers of life insurance from the best to the worst. For the chosen client the most advantageous is the offer of the life insurance Bella Vita from the Insurance Company Generali. The main reason is high capital value, claim free bonus, insurance benefit in case of death in consequence of road accident and high benefit in case of hospitalization in consequence of injury. Finanční plánování v podniku
Voráček, Lukáš ; Hnilica, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this study is to certify the legitimacy of employing quantitative methods in the day-to-day business practice. The task is approached as a case study of a real-life financial planning process. I work with the financial data of POS Media Czech Republic (a media company providing point-of-sale advertising solutions). My intention is to simulate the projection of a pro forma income statement with the use of quantitative methods. More specifically, I am applying time series prediction techniques in order to forecast POS Media's sales. The goal is, first, to demonstrate that quantitative techniques can be handled even with limited statistical background and, second, to discuss the relevancy of the obtained results. In the methodical part of my thesis I deal with the theoretical aspects of financial planning. I further describe various methods of sales forecasting (qualitative vs. quantitative). Special emphasis is put on time series prediction methods. In the application part I provide a short description of POS Media and its business. I use time series decomposition techniques to predict POS Media's sales in 2012. Consequently, I outline the rest of the pro forma income statement.
