Title: Public relations within the context of a selected case in the football environment Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to analyse and understand the role of public relations in dealing with and managing controversial situations in the football environment in the context of different perceptions of a particular issue and to evaluate the effect of public relations of the club in the selected case. Methods: qualitative methods were used in this study - analysis of texts, documents, websites, social networks, press releases or statements of clubs and stakeholders. The triangulation method was also used to ensure greater objectivity and credibility of the findings. Results: the chosen case for this thesis was the Europa League return leg between Rangers FC and SK Slavia Prague and the subsequent accusation of racism against the Slavic defender Ondřej Kúdel. The case sparked a worldwide response. In the research carried out, it can be concluded that Slavia successfully coped with the public relations challenges in this situation. In terms of public relations strategies, the club first stood up for its player and rejected any association of the club and the player with racism, thereby gaining credibility with the Czech public. Spurová, Markéta ; Kaslová, Michaela (advisor) ; Kvasz, Ladislav (referee)
The aim of this work is to determine the extent to which the cultural context of a word problem influences its solution by pupils of the 9th grade of secondary schools. Two research questions were set. The first: Will the different cultural context affect the solution of the word problem? How? The second: What do pupils think about word problems with different cultural contexts? The thesis consists of two parts: the theoretical and the practical. In the theoretical part, the general concepts such as culture and the word problem are addressed, followed by a discussion of the cultural context of word problems and their analysis in chosen textbooks. Furthermore, a significant part is devoted to ethnomathematics and multiculturalism in Czech schools. Finally, the difference between the word problem with a typical Czech context and the word problem with a different cultural context is established based on the results of textbooks analysis and the pre-research. The research, which is described in the practical part was conducted qualitatively, and the data were obtained from written tests and semi-structured interviews. The results have shown that the different cultural context of a word problem affects the time needed to solve the problem. In addition, the choice of the type of solution and the type of...
Historical, cultural, and symbolic borders of Ancient Israel
Kůrka, Rostislav ; Čapek, Filip (advisor) ; Sláma, Petr (referee)
This thesis attempts to explore the understanding of borders of ancient Israel and their extent based on biblical account. The starting point is exploring the very term "border" and its meaning in the Old Testament. This thesis operates with both geographic and cultural or ethnic boundary based on archeological finds and material culture. In comparing biblical and non-biblical material it attempts to discover how closely do various texts describing Israel's boundary reflect possible historical reality. In the cases where the boundary delineated by the text seems to be rather symbolic this thesis considers various possible reasons for such a delineation of ancient Israel and attempts to find likely influences of political or religious agenda, historical situation or myth on respective delineations.

Afanasjeva, Olga ; Nekola, Martin (advisor) ; Jelínková, Marie (referee)
The main objective of the graduation thesis "Failure of Integration Policies in Europe: a Multi-case Study" is to understand the essence of conflicts and problems, which occur during the migrant integration process in European countries, and identify their common ground. The thesis offers an analysis of possible interpretations of cultural and value contexts, together with interpretations of multiculturalism and other main integration models, which led to creation and implementation of different policies. Discourse analysis is the crucial research method of the thesis. The core of the thesis is represented by case studies, each of them reflecting certain social problems. The final part of the thesis brings the problems together and aims to reveal the connection between them, the integration policies and the context in which the policies were created. The common reason and fundament of different social problems will be searched. The author will analyze the key question, is it possible that problems and conflicts of different shapes stem from the same root?

KLOIDOVÁ, Petra
The Kmen Magazine was one of the literary magazines which had a significant influence on Czechoslovak culture in the 20´s. My dissertation is concerned with research about the Kmen weekly literary magazine between 1918 - 1921, and the monthly magazine from the year 1922 and between 1926-1929. The writing is also partially concerned with both Czech cultural context and the historic circumstances the paper was responding to. The main goal is to analyze previous issues of the magazine and compare relationships between them in order to expose how the Kmen magazine was developed. The Following research is devoted to interpretation of characteristic features of literary journals in the context of artistic styles and the historic background of the 20´s.
