Muscle activity in sticking region during flat bench press
Kopecký, Václav ; Šťastný, Petr (advisor) ; Petr, Miroslav (referee)
Title: Muscle activity when surpassing the sticking region in the concentric phase of a bench-press Objectives: The aim of this work is to compare muscle activity of prime movers and stabilizing muscles in each region of the concentric phase in a bench- press (pre-sticking, sticking and post-sticking phase). Methods: To get all the necessary data a method of randomized experimental research was used in preset laboratory conditions. Afterward a method of analysis was used for data evaluation. Results: Neuromuscular fatigue had occurred at submaximal (4 RM) loads in the primary movers during the sticking and post-sticking phase. In case of maximal (1 RM) loads the hypothesis was rejected due to that fatigue had occurred later, during post-sticking phase. Furthermore a neuromuscular fatigue of stabilizing muscles during maximal (1 RM) and submaximal (4 RM) loads was found. Keywords: bench-press, sticking region, sticking point, electromyography, EMG, muscle activity, resistance training

The influence of breathing strategy on sticking region during the bench press exercise.
Kolinger, Dominik ; Šťastný, Petr (advisor) ; Petr, Miroslav (referee)
Title: The influence of breathing strategy on sticking region during the bench press exercise. Objectives: The aim of this work is to determine the differences in duration and track that are necessary to overcome the sticking region while using variations of breathing patterns and loads during the bench-press exercise. The next goal is to find out whether the sticking region occurs in the bench-press with resistance of 1 RM, 4 RM, 8 RM and 12 RM. Methods: In this thesis I used a method of experimental research combined with method of analysis. Method of randomized experimental research was aplied during the actual research in preset conditions in the sports laboratory. Later the collected data was analysed and evaluated using specialized software. Results: In the empirical part of this thesis I found out that there are significant changes in duration and track of the sticking region and its parts after modyfying the breathing pattern during bench-pressing with maximal resistance (p<0,05). The Valsalva maneuver proved to be the best breathing technique in relation to overcoming the sticking region. There seem to be no significant changes in the characteristics of the sticking region and its parts while using different breathing patterns and lifting submaximal loads (4 RM) (p>0,05). Systems for monitoring hygiene in practice - implementation of the HACCP system in the selected processing plant
HADÁČKOVÁ, Gabriela
System of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is the main and unbroken system in the field of food safety. There is a duty for food producers in the Czech Republic to implement a system of critical control points into their business. It means to identify points (critical) in the process of production where can be the highest hazard for food safety, to monitor these points, to control and register data regularly. Production of safety food, protection of consumers, and also protection of a producer is the principle and result of proper and functional system of HACCP. Documents, an indivisible part of system of HACCP, were drafted for a selected company. Analysis of hazards was also done with the result of setting control points (CP) and two of critical control points (CCP) in a production step of cooling and packing.
