Manufacturing of a Valve Body
Ostřížek, Jan ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
The work deals with the manufacturing of a valve body from copper alloy CuZn40Pb2. The introduction of the work includes an analysis of possible manufacturing methods, with multi-way forging being selected as the most suitable method. Based on the evaluation of manufacturability, shape modifications are made, machining allowances are prescribed, and dimensional tolerances are determined. Two tool geometries are proposed and verified using numerical simulation. These are also used to determine the required forging force. From the volume of the forging, a raw material 60 x 115 mm is determined. It is inductively heated to forging temperature and then forged in one operation on the crank press LZK 2500 P/SH. At the and the flash is trimmed using the LKOA 200 press.
