Yacht Club Hlucin

The aim of this study is the design of Yacht club. The building is situated on a building estate No. 1303/3 of the Kozmice land registry in the recreational premises at the lakefront of „Hlučínské jezero“. It is placed next to the flooding line which is also considered in the project. The building is divided into three operational parts – the hotel, the catering establishments (restaurant) and the area primarily destined for holding conferences and workshops. The hotel is designed to accommodate thirty-two people, the capacity of restaurant is forty-two and conferential area is suitable for forty people at the most. Yacht club is designed as four-storey building with a flat grassed-covered roof. With regard to the foundation conditions, the building is found on piles. The structural part of walls is partly from CLT panels and partly from reinforced concrete which increase the stiffness of the building. The external cladding of the hotel consists of wooden blocks creating ventilated facade, while the rest of the building is rendered.

The main aim of the thesis is to design a new building of the mixed-use building in Brno. The building consists of two parts. One part consists of shops. The second part consists of offices and conference space. It is a building that has three floors above ground and one underground. In the basement there are a facilities and a garage. Shops are designed on the ground floor. There are offices on the second floor. Conference rooms are on the third floor. The building has a flat roof. The vertical load-bearing structures are designed from Porotherm ceramic blocks. In the core of the building, the vertical load bearing structures are designed as monolithic reinforced concrete walls. Columns are used in the building for the possibility of open space. The masonry of the basement consists of white bathtub. The floors are designed as folded from the Spiroll system. Internal non-load-bearing walls are designed from gypsum board with double cladding. The second part of the work deals with forced ventilation, cooling and central heating. In the third part of the project I deal with acoustics. The project was carried out in the Auotocad program. All constructions comply with valid standards and regulations.
Proposals for improvement of services in the hotel Prometheus

The diploma thesis is focused on the quality of provided services of Prometheus Hotel in Brno. This hotel has already provided services of high quality to its customers but it has faced low summer occupancy and a high staff turnover problem. This diploma thesis is based on concrete and real economic, technical and operational data of Prometheus Hotel. The design part presents possible measures that eliminate low occupancy during the summer months as well as high turnover of employees. Other design parts contribute to the overall prosperity of Prometheus Hotel. The implementation of the proposed measures requires a considerable amount of costs, but they should lead to an increase in the services provided throughout the hotel.
