Králová, Lucia

The research survey defined important literary reviews concerning permaculture and its elements, such as forms of planting in urban gardens, interconnection of several garden elements into one functioning system, as well as literary reviews focused on edible gardens and their functioning, or principles, but also how to work most effectively with energy. The practical part of this work consists of a detailed description of edible gardens, which I drew mainly from personal or electronic communication with a particular garden and from field research, where I was during visits photographed or received pictures, information and data about the garden. Other materials are drawn from verified or official Internet sources. An analysis of edible garden factors, both economic and non- economic, was prepared . The hypothesis was indeed from an economic point of view rebutted, since the purchase in retail chains is economically advantageous, but in terms of the social, the environmental , and learning it can be considered confirmed, for the reason that the production of their own food is kinder to the environment, but also to human body and also offers a certain educational component of how nature works.
