Aspects of Actors Work with Emphasis on Authenticity

This dissertation - Aspects of actors work with emphasis on authenticity, Road show as a way to authentic acting, charts behaviour of our Divadlo koňa a motora (Theatre of a horse and a engine). I add here our diaries from wandering with the horse and a caravan in surroundings of Nitra, in the Šluknov region and also in eastern Slovakia. Due to the experience made by wandering itself and acting in front of audience, that is not used to visit theater, I try to find a way to grow up in acting. I also try to name particular problems in actors work, that I was facing up during my studies and praxis. Their possible solutions I try to find in my personal experiences from wandering.

DEVELOPMENT AND PROBLEMS OF TRAVELING THEATERS

This thesis is devoted to the development and current issues of touring theaters. It describes the historical and social events that had major infuence on nomadic and subsequently touring theaters.
It deals with various selected nomadic groups, their modus operandi, dramaturgy and termination of their activities. Followed by a period of nationalization of theaters and directive management of cultural events throughout the territory of the former Czechoslovakia and the subsequent post-revolutionary present.
The aim is to outline the development of touring theaters, from the nomadic theaters to touring theaters, including the period when the theater was primarily a political tool. Together with its development there were also changes the way they operate and their status in society.

Road-show theatre yesterday and today

This work is concentrated on the road-show theatre in Czech lands since half of the 19th century till nowadays. In it I compare the experiences of chosen original road-show companies with my experience from realisation of ?Putování? project, two-months road-show travelling in Czech regions during summer 2012. Its results should be telling, in what is road-show travelling today similar and in what different from original companies.

Nomadic Theatre

This work is focused on possibilities of theatre in these days. Technical, sociable, political and so on. Based on thinking about these possibilities it is trying to find out the fundament of theatre and through it think about its import for today.
