Trnová, Jana ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
This Bachelor Thesis is based on a studio project carried out in 6th term of the Bachelor’s degree within the subject of AG035. The subject matter is a design of a new-built sport airport on the outskirts of the town of Drnholec (Břeclav district). The main entry to the area is provided by a neighbouring third class road. The concept is infuenced mainly by the requirements for sport airports service and the orientation of the building towards the grassy runway. The building is designed as low-rise with two above-ground floors. According to the mass and construction, the building can be divided into three parts. The first one is a double floor height hangar. Its supporting system consists of a steel arched structure covered by technical textile. The hangar is connected to the middle two-floored part, formed by a load-bearing timber frame structure. There is an aircraft stand, being part of the hangar, situated on the ground floor. There is also a workroom background with warehouses and aviation club facilities there. The remaining area is intended for a café. The emphasis was put on the visual connection of the café and the hangar. A spiral staircase allows ascend from the café to the first floor. Most of its area is occupied by a terrace, used as a grandstand for spectators. A dispatching room and a training center are situated there, too. The café on the ground floor is also connected to the last part of the unit. It is a single-floored section, whose supporting function is provided by a timber lamella arched structure. In this part, facilities for the operation of the café and its employees, sanitary facilities for visitors, technical rooms and the aviation club are situated. The designed building solves the absence of the aviation club facilities and the possibilities of locating machines near the runway. What is more, constructing of model building club facilities and accommodation units are taken into consideration in the design, too.
