Design of Single Cylinder 4-stroke SI Engine
Číž, Petr ; Rasch, František (referee) ; Rasch, František (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Thesis deals with design of the experimental single-cylinder spark ignition engines for research purposes. The main purpose of this work is the design crankcase. Summary of possible constructions of spark ignition engines is included. Basic dimensions and 3-D design of the experimental engine resulted from the summary. The numerical analysis of proposed crankcase in ADAMS (MBS) and ANSYS (FEM) software environment is also part of the work. Generally, the proposed solution of the experimental engine was focused on the universality and simplicity of the design.
Crankcase Ventilation of the Internal Combustion Engine
Zavadil, Martin ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis has been written out as a literature review. This work is focused on crankcase ventilation systems of internal combustion engines. The aim was to describe the origin of bow-by in different parts of engine, the principle of operation of individual components and a description of design solution for different types of engines. The work also describes the differences between crankcase ventilation systems of motorcycles and trucks. The last chapter is a description of used design solution of crankcase ventilation system for the selected engine VW 2.0TDI. In conclusion the work outlines possible developments in the field. The work also includes image attachments approaching the issue and design solutions.
Design of Modern V8 Combustion Engine
Šebesta, Radek ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Master´s thesis is considered with design and construction of V8 combustion engine with small size and low mass of its body. In the construction were used mass-produced components from the other engines. From every component was generated a 3D model in computer program Pro/Engineer, new necessary parts were made in the same program and put together to assembly. Main part of the construction was to design a new crankshaft, a crankcase and an engine lubricating system. The crankshaft was subjected computing analysis in program Pro/Mechanica, using FEM.
Design of Experimental Engine based on Multi-cylinder Engine
Tvrdík, Tomáš ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis refers to reconstruction of the serial tractor four-cylinder engine to one-cylinder experimental engine. The thesis includes a calculation and proposal of balancing unit. The other part of the thesis contains FEM calculation. In the conclusion there are evaluation of proposal and financial valuation of the engine production.
One Cylinder Experimental 40kW Engine
Kacálek, Jaroslav ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the proposal of 3D model of single SI engine designated for research purposes. The work is mainly concentrated on the construction of the engine composition that consists of crank case, crankshaft and balance unit. It contains the research of experimental engines and constructions of basic parts of standard SI engines. The aim is the proposal of all-purpose construction of crank case and the following control with the help of FEM system.
Design Study of 1-piston CI Engine
Plička, Ladislav ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Thesis deals with design study of 1-piston CI Engine for research purposes. The main purpose of this work is the design crankcase. Thesis includes background research conversant by various conceptions experimental motors. The numerice analysis of proposed crankcase in Pro ENGINEER MECHANICA (FME) software environment in also part of the work. Generally, the proposed solution of the experimental engine was focused on the universality and simplicity of the design.
Evolution of the Tatra Diesel Engines
Paulmichl, Roman ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the development of diesel engine TATRA from their inception to the present. It focuse on the construction of engines and construction of the disparity of their development. Gives an overview of their own construction of engines and their technical solutions. Compares the structural design of each engine in a chronological sequence of their formation and subsequent production. Informs on the composition and function of individual systems engines, changes in their composition and modernization. Provides examples of differences in the various engine components. Creating insight on the issue of engine construction as a whole and each of its systems and subsequent comparison of the impact of engines on the environment. Explains the basic concepts from the construction of diesel engines and their components. The theses target is to provide an overview of construction solutions of TATRA engines, depending on the time of their inception and requirements for diesel engines today.
Engine Block Design of Aircraft Powertrain
Kuzník, Bořek ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis describes the problems of the engine block and crankcase. There is solution of structural design and contains the engineering design of invert six-cylinder engine block with water cooling. Thesis deals with connected equipment and drives. Engineering design is verified by finite elements analysis for the determination of strenght and durability. The ending of thesis analyzes the production methods of designed engine block.
