Kineziotherapy in pregnancy and it´s effect on quality of life of pregnant women
RŮŽIČKOVÁ, Iveta
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic how physical exercise can affect the life of a pregnant woman. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes changes involved in gravidness, which are mainly changes of the respiratory system, the reproductive system, the cardiovascular system and last but not least changes in the psychical state of a pregnant woman. From the physiotherapeutic point of view there are described changes of the physical system caused by the increasing weight. There is also described pregnancy from the first trimester to the third one and also birth phases. One chapter is dedicated to particular kinesiotherapeutical methods like yoga for pregnant women, which is good for breath adjustment and strengthening of particular muscular sets. Another method is exercise with a gymnastic ball, which has a positive effect on the spinal column, especially on the lumbar area. The last method used is Feldenkrais' method, which is focused on relaxation and feeling the performing movement. All the methods are briefly described and particular exercises are listed in the list of enclosures. The last chapter deals with the quality of life. The bachelor thesis has one research question and two objectives. The first one is to chart possibilities of kinesiotherapy during pregnancy. The second aim is to propose and make an individual exercise plan for pregnant women. The question of research detects effects of kinesiotherapy on the quality of life in pregnancy. A qualitative research consisting of a checkup of three pregnant women was used and followed by working out patients' whole casuistries. All the patients were taught the exercise unit and they have been practising twice a week in eight weeks. During each therapy with the assistance of the author of this thesis patients were given a massage of both soles. Their os coccygeal were examined by palpation, ranges of motion in hip joints were measured by a goniometer. Respondents were also examined by inspection. Respondents answered 26 questions of the questionnaire about the quality of life in the beginning of the therapy as well as at the end of it. Anamneses of all three patients were taken in order to gain all the useful information. The practical part includes the description of the therapy duration in each one case. The research is finished by the kinesiologic analysis and by the outcome of the WHOQOL questionnaire. The research shows that kinesiology had a positive effect on all the respondents. Psychical and physical changes caused by pregnancy were eliminated and each one respondent would like to continue with the therapy. This bachelor thesis could be used as an educational and informative material for pregnant women, who do not have any experience with physical activity during pregnancy and for women, who would like to have more information. The thesis can be used as a study material for physiotherapy students and medical workers.

Kinesiotherapy in patiens with osteoporosis
BRAŠNIČKOVÁ, Jana
Abstract The theme of this bachelor's thesis is kinesiotherapy in patients with osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is the disease of metabolism which causes the density of bone mass, the bone becomes less firm and tough. This disease can be asymptomatic in the long term, but it causes many physical and mental problems later, which markedly get worse the quality of life. The first symptoms of osteoporosis are chronic backaches and fractures caused by minimal strain. These pains often raise feelings of depression, anxiety and fear. The preconditions of origin of osteoporosis are genetic but they are formed also from the early childhood, that's why it is very important to follow healthy lifestyle which includes sufficient calcium and vitamine D intake, activity, proper diet and avoiding toxic influences from the birth. Kinesiotherapy is one of the most important ways of preventive and medical care of patients who are endangered by osteoporosis or suffer by this disease. It is aimed at the improvement of motoric stereotypes, muscular strenght, mobility, coordination and activation of deep stabilizing system. It teaches proper breathing, lying, sitting, standing, lifting and carrying loads, forward bend and relaxation. World Health Organization considers this disease as one of the biggest health problems of mankind. Therefore I think it is important to pay attention to these issues. The first part of this bachelor's thesis is aimed at theoretic knowledge, divided into general and special part. The general part includes knowledge about structure and function of a bone, defines osteoporosis, deals with its classification, its clinical symptoms, its diagnosing and risk factors. Next there are described the possibilities of therapy, preventive measures and the impact of osteoporosis. In the special part there is introduced the definition of kinesiotherapy, its medical effect and general principles which is important to follow during kinesiotherapy procedure. It deals with possibilities of kinesiotherapy according to clinical phases and then describes particular kineziotherapy methods suitable for patients with osteoporosis. The aim of a theoretical part was to outline the possibilities of kinesiotherapy of patient with osteoporosis. The second part of this thesis is my research. For this part was chosen the method of qualitative research. It was done as case history including anamnestic data, initial and final kinesiological analysis, the progress of therapy, conclusion and long-term rehabilitation plan. The data were collected during the interviews with patients, by observing of them, sampling of anamnesis, kinesiological screening and the analysis of data from medical documentation. The research set was formed by two patients diagnosed with osteoporosis. The research was carried out in rehabilitation ward Poliklinika Jih in České Budějovice during four weeks. Exercising took place twice a week for 20-30 minutes. Soft tissue techniques, mobilisations, post isometric relaxation, stretching, fitness, breathing and relaxation exercising, elements training of the back, exercising with a big ball, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, sensomotoric stimulation and the activation of deep stabilizing system. The aim of the research was to compile and realize the most effective kinesiotherapy procedures for chosen patients diagnosed with osteoporosis. The results show that the chosen kinesiotherapy methods influenced positively the condition of both patients. It is evident that their backache and posture are much better. They evaluate the therapy as positive and useful for their health. From the kinesiologic point of view it is evident the improvement in breathing stereotype, posture and reduction of some asymmetry and muscular unbalance which negatively influenced physical and mental aspects of patients.
Kinesiotherapy in the third trimester of pregnancy and childbirth preparation
HANZALOVÁ, Edita
The bachelor thesis deals with kinesiotherapy in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy and subsequent preparation for birth. Pregnancy is a physiological state when the body nourishes two organisms. Because of the baby nourishment pregnancy is certain strain for pregnant woman?s organism. Kinesiotherapy at the final stage of pregnancy is very important. The theoretical part describes physiological changes in female organism during pregnancy. Changes particularly occur in the respiratory system, circulatory system, musculoskeletal system and in body weight. From physiotherapeutic point of view particularly the changes in the postural system and selected muscles are described. Sudden weight growth affects the overall body posture and the structure of pregnant woman?s foot arch. The theoretical part also describes physiological birth, its phases and their length. The last chapter of the thesis theoretical part focuses on the most frequently applied kinesiotherapy methods. These are Ludmila Mojzisová method, Pilates method and gravidyoga. Outline of further kinesiotherapy methods then follows. The bachelor thesis has two aims and one research question set. The first aim is to introduce motion therapy among women in the 3rd semester of pregnancy. The second aim is to prepare pregnant women for the birth by means of kinesiotherapy. The research question deals with finding whether kinesiotherapy has positive influence on the birth progress. Quantitative research method in the form of elaboration of case studies from three respondents was applied to meeting the goals in the practical part. The respondents attended pregnancy exercise and birth preparation classes. Case history was taken from of each pregnant woman to get the necessary data. The interview included information on accidents, operations, painful states, sport activities both before and during pregnancy. Static and dynamic check-up of aspections was then performed. The static check-up focused on overall body posture in back, side, and front views and was documented. The dynamic check-up monitored backbone development and hypermobility test. The practical part then describes individual therapies. An individual kinesiotherapeutic plan is described for all three respondents. The practical part is concluded in an output kinesiological analysis several days after the birth. The output examination also includes an interview on the birth progress and mental state of the respondents. The research confirmed that kinesiotherapy was beneficial for pregnant respondents in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy. The locomotor system problems caused by pregnancy changes in female organism were reduced or eliminated. The clients describe mental well-being during motion activities as well as between the visits. Birth preparation in the form of breathing in the individual birth phases and training of relief position was included into the therapy near the end of pregnancy. The women used the relief position on the big ball in the first birth period and as well as breathing specific for the individual birth phases. The research did not confirm whether kinesiotherapy influences the birth progress. Two of the three respondents delivered without significant complications. The delivery of the woman No. 1 was on the due date. The woman No. 3 delivered less than 3 weeks before the due date. The delivery was without serious complications in both the women. However there were complications in the respondent No. 3 caused by wrong position of the child. Caesarean section in epidural anaesthesia followed. The woman had no problems after the anaesthesia and was transported to the postpartum ward the next day after the intervention. This bachelor thesis may be used as educational material for students and graduates in physiotherapy. It is also suitable for the public, particularly for women in
The influence of physiotherapy on patients with osteoporosis
REJŽKOVÁ, Olga
The theoretical part poses challange of osteoporosis as a disease that is in the limelight in recent years. Since it is a disease that causes bone rarefaction and bone stock loss was part of the work devoted to themes of microscopic and macroscopic structure of bone, bone formation and development, factors affecting growth and bone remodeling. Furthermore, the theoretical part describes the different types of osteoporosis, defines the causes and risk factors of disease, informs about modern methods and treatment procedures and establishes important principles for prevention. This work also focuses on the diagnosis of disease, particularly it is centred on the clinical and X-ray studies, osteodensitometry and laboratory tests which are currently the most frequently used methods of diagnosis. The examination procedures were discribed in detail in section operating methodology of research that were later used in the actual researches. They were especially densitometry imaging method that was used to determine bone density, followed by laboratory tests by means of them were detected samples of blood levels for substances that affect bone metabolism. To evaluate muscle strength and shortened muscle groups are used methods by prof. MUDr.Vladimir Janda, DrSc. Furthermore, the assessment of spine development, character and poise along with examination of stability were evaluated according to Romberg. The invertigate was composed of four patients. Two of them were involved in regular physiotherapeutic exercises, the other two were treated only with medicaments.
Physiotherapy as a component of an active stance to a senior´s age
DUDOVÁ, Helena
Problems of senior age are currently and in the view of demographic situation an up-to-date social issue. Many branches of science and various organizations deal with senior age, its particularities in order to help to cope with difficulties which are usually associated with aging and old age. Bachelor thesis involve in the issue of senior age in its active experience which might be strengthened by physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation. The theoretical part of thesis focuses on description of senior age, possibilities of physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation in the old age and on the role of a physiotherapist in the health and social services. The practical part of bachelor thesis assesses questionnaires of an anonymous survey which has been carried out in several health and social services of chosen towns in the Plzeň region (Plzeň, Klatovy, Sušice) and South Bohemia region (České Budějovice, Strakonice, Vodňany). The questionnaires assessed whether a standard offer of those health and social services provided kinesiotherapy and various forms of physical therapy and whether the different offer showed the different satisfaction of seniors. The results show that some forms of physical therapy in the chosen health and social services are not represented, nevertheless this fact does not considerably influence the seniors´ satisfaction. In fact the respondents relatively seldom use provided services of physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation. That is why it would be helpful to extend the offer of physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation in the health and social services and at the same time to increase seniors´ information about the beneficial effect on their physical and mental health.
