Explantation and analysis of plants
Kašpar, Blahoslav ; Babula,, Petr (referee) ; Valla, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the study of antioxidants and detection methods of their antioxidant activity. Antioxidants are substances able to scavenge the activity of oxygen radicals. This ability protects critical cellular structures from oxidation. In nature, plants belong to the important sources of antioxidants. In this thesis we are specifically focused on the detection of antioxidant activity of Japanese knotweed extracts using FRAP (“Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power”) with automatic UV-Vis spectrometer. The data obtained were treated with the mathematical program developed in MATLAB.
Colorant properties and stability of Reynoutria pigments
DVOŘÁK, Vojtěch
This bachelor thesis is focused on invasive species of the genus Reynoutria, specifically on obtaining color extracts from their rhoots and subsequent evaluation of their color properties under various environmental conditions in laboratory conditions. The color properties of extract L, a, b, Cab, h and Eab were evaluated using a colorimeter. The extracts were obtained with 96°C warm water, cold water and 100% ethanol from dried and fresh material. The dye content in rhizomes and stems of Reynoutria japonica and Reynoutria sachalinesis was evaluated based on the total The roots of Reynoutria japonica and Reynoutria sachalinesis can be used as a source of yellow to red-violet dye. For the preparation of the extract, dried roots can be recommended at an extraction ratio of 3 g per 1 liter of water and extraction at 95 ° C for 1 hour. The information obtained can potentially be used in the application of dyes in industry or, after verification of health safety, also in the food industry.
Habitat sutability for invasive plants spread in PLA Kokořínsko
Kofránková, Petra ; Pěknicová, Jana (advisor) ; Martin, Martin (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the occurrence of main invasive species in PLA Kokořínsko_Máchův kraj using field data acquisition method Three invasive plant species have been identified in the area of interest. The geographical information on these tree species were collected via on-site terrain mapping using a GPS device and the aerial imagery as supporting mapping tool. Invasive species are found at 12 of 16 cadastral areas. Most affected are the human-influenced habitats, soil type cambisol.
