Comparative Analysis of New Developments Around the City of Brno

This master’s thesis deals with analysis of documents for the realization of the new buildings the wider area of Brno. It is divided into the theoretical part and the empirical part. The theoretical part describes defines and characterize different stages of implementation of building plots in the framework of utility lines and roads on agricultural land (greenfields), designated for residential housing. In the empirical part goals and methodology of the research project are mentioned and it is divided into two parts. The first part is devoted to case studies comparing and analyzing the costs and revenues of the developer selected localities of satellite towns. The second part is focused on the actual development of land prices. It points to items affecting profit or loss of the developer. In the last chapter the author of this thesis describes creating a preliminary calculation, which the developer can determine whether a satellite town of the selected project will be successful or not. In conclusion, the thesis points out important factors affecting the project success of the satellite town.

This bachelor‘s thesis is focused on the evaluation of economic efficiency of an investment project in a manufacturing company. As a major part of the thesis some options for the purchase of the particular machine were determined and the calculation of economic efficiency of these investment projects was processed. In conclusion, there is an assumption that the human work will not be necessary anymore and the productivity of labour will increase with the investment in the machine.

This thesis deals with venture capital as an alternative source of financing in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to identify and comprehensively evaluate the impact of venture capital investment on the economic performance of the selected small and medium enterprises, based on the analysis of the venture capital market. The literature research represents an input of the issue of venture capital. Custom work brings closer an existing development venture capital in the Czech Republic. After that it deals with the influence of venture capital on the performance of selected businesses from the sector information and communication technologies, through selected absolute and relative indicators of financial analysis, bankruptcy models and indicators of value creation for shareholders. The results are compared with studies in discussion and then they are subsequently formulated into proposals and recommendations.

This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of investment project of specific companies operating in the field of engineering which are considering buying a new device for 3D measurements. The objective is to evaluate investment options buying the equipment and propose the optimal solution for the company, including financing. The advantage of this investment is to be judged by selected methods for evaluating the economic efficiency of the investment and based on calculations of these methods, to find out whether it is appropriate to implement the purchase or not.

This thesis focuses on specification of key characteristics and principles of private equity and includes specification of both the local market and the international market trends. Furthermore this paper defines institutional framework for support of private equity in the Czech Republic and specifies the history and operations of leveraged buyouts including description of leverage effect and its illustration. The leverage effect arises when combination of debt and equity is used for financing. Private equity transactions are characterized by uniqueness and this paper describes the investment process starting from the identification of investment opportunity through monitoring to exit. Analysis and definition of key characteristics of target companies is also included.
