The disability and the disability pension

Disability and Invalidity Pension Abstract The theme of disability is a sensitive topic in society, as it represents an undesirable social event affecting an individual's work capacity and consequently having an adverse impact on their financial security. The invalidity pension serves as a benefit designed to compensate for this negative consequence to some extent. This work deals with the issue of disability, particularly the invalidity pension, organized into 9 chapters. The introductory chapter provides a brief historical overview of disability, followed by a discussion of the historical legal conditions for granting an invalidity pension in the Czech Republic. It then delves into international interventions through treaties and the membership of international organizations, of which the Czech Republic is a signatory. This chapter mentions international organizations, including the most significant international treaties addressing this issue, to which the Czech Republic is bound. Given that the Czech Republic is a member of the European Union, and its the legal regulations significantly influence the national legal framework of the Czech Republic, this aspect is incorporated into the work. This bachelor’s thesis deals with the support of employment of people with disabilities that is expressed in the legal system which gives a certain obligation to employers to employ these people. Another tool that aims at supporting the employment of these people is various allowances and benefits for their employers. The specific employer uses this support in an optimal way when compared to the legal regulation, therefore, there are not any changes recommended to him in this area because they would have a negative impact to him.
The employment of disabled people in non-gonvernmental non-profit organizations in the South Bohemian region

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of employment of people with disabilities in non-governmental non-profit organizations and its aim is to map (describe) this issue in the South Bohemian Region. The bachelor thesis defines the basic concept of disability, person with disabilities and its definition in Czech legislation. It discusses the legislative regulation of the employment of persons with disabilities, the obligations of employers, disincentive factors influencing the employment of the persons mentioned. It deals with the area of state employment policy with the introduction of active employment policy instruments, instruments of support for the employment of persons with disabilities and instruments of employer support in the employment of these persons. It is also dedicated to non-governmental non-profit organizations, their importance and contribution, division and characteristics of selected organizations according to the Civil Code. It describes the situation in the South Bohemian Region with regard to socio-demographic data, people with disabilities and the issue of unemployment. The method of data analysis and comparison processes and evaluates selected data concerning the employment of persons with disabilities, the issue of non-governmental non-profit organizations and their involvement in the employment of these persons within the South Bohemian Region.
Legislation of disability and disability pension in the Czech Republic

1 Resume Legislation of disability and disability pension in the Czech Republic The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the Czech legislation of disability pension and its conditions of entitlement, and then to compare them with the situation in selected states in the European Union. I have chosen this particular topic, because a material security of disabled persons is an essential part of legislation in every developed country. This thesis is composed of seven chapters; each of them is divided into several subchapters. The first chapter characterises the pension scheme and its principles. There are explained the basic features of pension insurance, such as personal scope, period of insurance and financing. This chapter also lists benefits paid of pension insurance in the Czech Republic. The second chapter outlines the development of material security of disabled persons during previous centuries. It focuses on responsibility for persons unable to work, which has transferred from church to villages and later to state. Next chapter defines the term invalidity and points out several different looks at the concept of it. This chapter also includes the international definition formed by the World health organization. The Employment Prospects of Persons with Disabilities in the Open Labour Market

The thesis is focused on the employment of persons with disabilities in the open labour market. The concepts related to disability and handicap have been dealt in the theoretical part as so as the importance of employment for people with disabilities, employment issues and embedding the right to work in an international and Czech rule of law have been discussed. In the empirical part the attitudes of employers to the disabled employees, their motives and experiences are evaluated. In the frame of thesis, that is being reached by qualitative research using the semi-structured interviewing employers in three districts of the Central Bohemia.
Process and rate of disability among seniors

The most characteristic feature of the demographic development in the Czech Republic and other developed countries is population ageing. The aim of the thesis "The process and rate of disability among seniors" was to determine the extent to which disability interferes with the lives of the seniors and to map the development, progress and conditions of the pension system. After an introductory overview of basic concepts, a part of the thesis deals with a theoretical analysis of the European framework of social security of seniors and another part is concerned with the reform of disability pensions in the Czech Republic. The focus is also on the forms of care for disabled pensioners. The empirical part analyzes the areas related to the development of population structure, administrative agenda, overview of pensions according to the WHO diagnosis groups, total overview of disability pensions, the development of the structure of pensions, financing of pension administration, and the average age of retired people. The economic side is also included, where pensions are compared with average salary and also the economic activity of seniors. The Importance of the Social Therapeutic Workshop for Integrating Clients in their Future Activity in the Sheltered Workshop

This Bachelor´s thesis deals with the importance of the social therapeutic workshop for integrating clients in their future activity in the sheltered workshop (sheltered workplace). The main objective is to map necessary work skills of clients for their transfer to the sheltered workshop (sheltered workplace). The thesis consists of the theoretical part, which contains literary information, and the research part where the established objectives are being evaluated. The chapter named "Current State" is focussed on the target group of persons in the social therapeutic workshop and the sheltered workshop (sheltered workplace), and further there is mentioned the importance of work and self-fulfilment for people with the health handicap. There is described the concept of social services, their characteristics and the proper definition of the social rehabilitation and the social therapeutic workshop. Next chapter deals with the work rehabilitation directed at the sheltered workshop (sheltered workplace). And consecutively, the attention is aimed at the social worker and workers in the sphere of social services. The last chapter is focussed on the family in the context of their care for the child with the health handicap from the point of view of the family, and the cooperation with them from the point of view of professional workers. The research part established the following objective: To identify necessary work habits of clients in the process of the social rehabilitation which they obtain in the social therapeutic workshop. The main research question "What are the necessary work skills of clients for their transfer to the activity in the sheltered workshop?" was further divided into 5 partial research questions. The qualitative research strategy was used for obtaining information. Data were collected by means of the questionnaire, in particular the technique of the semistructured interview. The research sample was made up with the method of the intentional (purpose) selection which defined particular criteria for integration in the research sample. There were made up two research samples involving clients of the social therapeutic workshop and professional leading workers of the social therapeutic workshop and the sheltered workshop (sheltered workplace). The obtained information was processed with the method of coding and consequent categorization. The results are mentioned in the subheads corresponding with the partial research questions. The research shows that clients come to the social therapeutic workshop in order to use their time meaningfully and to train new skills which they can use both at work and in their daily life. The big motivation is also the team and related social integration. The family represents irreplaceable role which includes support in everyday activities and the feeling of security. The professional leading workers consider the social therapeutic workshop to be the very important first stage of the job. They see the advantage of the social therapeutic workshop in providing possibility to map knowledge and skills of individuals who try to move from the social service to the sheltered workshop.
