Interpretation of local culture haritage through information panels on exemple of Prokopské údolí in Prague

This thesis focuses on nature trails and information panels and their role in the interpretation of local cultural heritage. Based on a literature search, it describes the theoretical basis of interpretation as such, the history of nature trails in the Czech Republic and worldwide, visitor issues and the educational and interpretive use of trails and panels. The main objective of this thesis is to map the current situation of nature trails in the Prokopské údolí in Prague, to evaluate their thematic focus, functionality, usability, and educational and interpretive potential. Part of the work is also a proposal for its own nature trail, which maps the industrial history of the Prokopské údolí in Prague. Selected problems of interpretation of Czech estates inscribed on the World Heritage List

The presented diploma thesis deals with selected problems of monuments in the Czech Republic, which were listed on the prestigious World Heritage List by the end of the year 2022. In the first part of the diploma theses, a comprehensive search of existing Czech inscriptions and values for which they were awarded the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) is carried out. Management plans of individual sites (or other strategic and conceptual documents) are also researched and chapters dealing with education and presentation issues of the given sites are evaluated. In the second part, the thesis deals with the issues of interpretation and education of values for which estates are awarded the OUV. A research is carried out of how local management work with the term "outstanding universal value" in their interpretive, educational and presentation materials and if the criteria for which the monument is included on the World Heritage List are given adequate attention. And if so, whether they use methodological materials in the interpretation of values, or at least the principles defined in the International Council on Monuments and Sites Charter in the field of interpretation and presentation of cultural heritage sites - the ICOMOS charter. Purposes and benefits of project Dům přírody Třeboňska

The diploma thesis is focused on the project which is called The Trebonsko House of Nature. The theoretical part deals with interpretation of local and natural heritage and this part also deals with a modern three-phase learning model. The thesis also defines the programme of The Trebonsko House of Nature. The next thing that is mentioned in the thesis is the existence of the interpretative plan that was created for PLA Trebonsko (this plan also deals with The Trebonsko House of Nature). The thesis is a case study, so there are several suitable methods good for studying the particular issue. These methods are: observation and semi-structured interview with the visitors, clients and operators of The Trebonsko House of Nature. There is also a proposal of questionnaire construction - it's necessary to do it because of the evaluation of the project. The thesis defines The Trebonsko House of Nature as a phenomenon and thanks to the research questions the thesis explores if the visitors gain knowledge that the operators promise. The thesis also deals with the question if the The Trebonsko House of Nature is a good way that leads to the better protection of a biosphere reserve and PLA Trebonsko.
