Efficiency map of synchronous machine

Subject of this bachelor thesis is application of interpolation on efficiency maps of synchronous servo-engines. Nearest neighbor interpolation, inverse distance weighting and bilinear interpolation is used. Another part of this thesis is measuring on drive of one axis on machine tool, which is made out of frequency convertor, synchronous engine and a ball screw. Also another subject of this thesis is research of power losses in synchronous engine, frequency convertor and ball screw.
Image interpolation

In this thesis, basics, attributes and usage of image interpolation are described. Multiple methods of interpolation are described in detail. Theoretical knowledge of interpolation are practicaly demonstrated in Matlab environment on selected methods of interpolation including my own implementation of quadratic and linear interpolation. Tests were run on different types of images, mostly on biomedicine ones. Single interpolations are also applied on histogram. Results are compered to each other and figure to the graphs.

This bachelor thesis is focused on interpolation algorithms used in diagnostic radiology in DICOM format and also discribes DICOM format and PACS system to a reader. Bicubic, bilinear and nearest neighbour algorithms are used to display interpolated images. Results are objectivly a subjectivly evaluated by a team of professional radiologists.
Influence of spatial snow distribution on flood course

For the purpose of hydrological forecasting on mountains' and sub-mountains' rivers is important knowledge of distribution of snow water equivalent in the watershed. Submitted thesis therefore deals with comparison of 9 interpolation methods in terms of quality of their forecasting when predicting snow depth and snow water equivalent in watershed Bystřice (127,6 km2 ), which is situated in the northwest of Bohemia in the Ore mountains. Point data of snow depth and snow water equivalent used in interpolation were sampled during an off- road measuring in 17. 2. 2010 at the 14 snow sampling locations. The interpolation methods were: (1) Thiessen's polygons, (2) inverse distance weighting, (3) global polynomial (4) local polynomial (5) radial basis functions, (6) ordinary kriging, (7) cokriging, (8) residual kriging and (9) orographic interpolation. Independent variable-altitude used in the calculation of snow depth and snow water equivalent was used only in the last three listed methods. Predictive ability of interpolation methods was evaluated by using cross-validation and visual comparison of predicted maps. Research of Algorithms for Improvement of Rainfall Calculation Based on Crossing of Microwave Links

Even in modern times, the exact rainfall calculation is an area containing a number of challenges. Although it may seem that the combined technologies for rainfall estimation are sufficiently accurate, in recent years there have been opportunities to further complement and refine the rainfall estimation through so-called opportunistic methods. This work deals with the creation of a new algorithm for the distribution of rainfall intensity within the framework of rainfall measurement through a network of microwave links. The theoretical part of the work deals with the possible ways in which the algorithm can be created and in what ways the calculation of rainfall can be approached. The practical part first deals with the creation of an algorithm for the linear distribution of rainfall intensity in 2D space along the route of the microwave link, based on the input parameter of the interval length. This is followed by the creation and implementation of an algorithm for the distribution of rainfall intensity based on the crossing of microwave links.

Evaluation of influence of interpolation methods on coregistration of radar images

Evaluation of influence of interpolation methods on coregistration of radar images Abstract SAR interferogram processing requires subpixel coregistration of SAR image pair for accurate phase differencing. Errors in alignment introduce phase noise in SAR interferogram. Last step in coregistration is resampling one of SAR images. Also this step introduces errors in SAR interferogram. The resampling algorithms Nearest Neighbor, Bilinear interpolation, Cubic Convolution and advanced methods such as Raised Cosine kernel, Knab interpolation kernel and Truncated Sinc were tested on ERS tandem data and compared. The results were compared with the theory and simulations of earlier investigations (Hanssen, Bamler, 1999), (Migliaccio, Bruno, 2003) and (Cho ... [et al.], 2005). The main experiment in this work was to examine and compare resampling methods on real data to evaluate their effect on the interferometric phase quality and DEM generation. The coregistration performance was evaluated by the coherence (Touzi ... [et al.], 1999) and the sum of phase differences (Li ... [et al.], 2004).
