Chrástecká, Marie ; Otavský, Karel (advisor) ; Oulíková, Petra (referee)
This bachelor work "The inventory of St. Vitus Cathedral before it's regothization" focuses mainly on three topics: The architectural appearance of St. Vitus Cathedral in the period before its neo-gothic completion, inventory in this temple focused on Baroque art, and life and cult of St. John of Nepomuk, who is a very important person for the St. Vitus Cathedral, as many artworks in the cathedral, placed here now or removed earlier, bear the image of the Czech saint, and often come directly from celebrations of his canonization. The aim of the work was mainly exploration and familiarization with the most important works of art from the baroque period, that were located in St. Vitus Cathedral before it's regothization, based on historical descriptions and visual documents, finding out further history of individual work of art, their current deposition, or effort to locate them.
