It includes a brief outline of the development of the youth-political cooperation between both neighbouring countries after 1989. The practical part inquires into the organization Tandem, its foundation and the inner organizational structure which ensures the successful coordination of the exchange programmes. Attention was also paid to the areas of cooperation and concrete projects that were realized by Tandem. Furthermore, the bachelor thesis looks into the financing of this organization. Finally, this bachelor thesis concludes with the prospects of this organisation for the future that were discussed directly with both chiefs of Coordination Centre Tandem.
