Using the Tools of Business Intelligence in Corporate Processes
Plachký, Leoš ; Ing.Martin Zubalík (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This master´s theis deals design and implementation of Business Intelligence the company of Click Credit s.r.o. The main task within the BI integration services to design and create a central register of delinquent clients which ensure data are fully consistent and could by used for futrher analysis. The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical foundations of integration and analytical services. In the second part of the thesis is analysis of the current situation and solution proposal.
Searching for Dependencies in the Questionnaire Surveys Using Business Intelligence
Janata, Michal ; Dostál, Petr (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on creating an application for survey analysis. In the first section are theoretical foundations of a direct marketing and Business Intelligence. The next chapter focuses on available tools for data analysis and BI. Analysis and preparation of input data are also included in this part. Finally, the solution proposal is presented.
Integration of services in industrial Ethernet networks
Mytyska, Kamil ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with industrial Ethernet. Industrial Ethernet refers to the usage of standard Ethernet protocols using rugged connectors and heat-resistant switches in industrial automation and process control. Components used in industrial environments must be resistant to high temperatures, dust, humidity and vibration. The usage of optical fibers in industrial environment reduces the problems of electrical noise and provides electrical isolation to prevent equipment damage. The first part describes the physical implementation of Industrial Ethernet, the physical implementation of other components, Ethernet system features real-time, overview of standards and usage of virtual networks. The work is processed with solutions integrating multiple disparate services in one industrial Ethernet network using VLAN. This is processed by using of simulation program Packet Tracer and then the solution is processed in real network connection with three borrowed industrial switches Moxa, B&B Electronics and Ruggedcom. Further there is processed operation during the communication between devices using Wireshark which describes the TCP connection, sending an HTTP packet and a separate data transfer. As the last part there is mentioned evaluation of five industrial switches from companies B&B Electronics, Cisco, Moxa, N-Tron and Ruggedcom.

Analysis and comparison of BI tools from Microsoft and Oracle
Srnský, Martin ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Oganesjan, Narek (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the global market with Business Intelligence, recognize the most significant companies running a business in this area and try to estimate the future trends and development of the market and then to analyze BI tools of two important companies on the market, Microsoft and Oracle. Analysis and comparison of these tools will be done according to specified metrics, which will focus on both technological and business features of the tools. The main contribution should be complex comparison of quality of tools from two big competitors on the market.
Reaction to errors and alerts in ETL
Klimt, Roman ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Zajíc, Ján (referee)
This work deals with information systems called Business Intelligence (BI). Especially, it focuses on one part, whose task is to extract data from primary information systems. This stage is known as extract, transform, load (ETL). ETL is one of the most important stage in BI solutions because the quality of data depends on this stage. These data are used for all analyses and created reports. The goal of this work is to suggest solution for active projects, which are short of automated controlling mechanism. This mechanism should inform users of BI solutions about errors in data. If data from primary systems are in such bad state that ETL process is not able to match primary keys to them, the data are stored in special tables and are not used for future analyses. This is a very serious problem because analyses and reports based on the data may be misrepresentative. This problem must be solved by repairing the data in primary information systems. The administrator of primary information system has to know about the incorrect so that the data could be repaired. Therefore, an automated e-mailing system has been designed to inform about the incorrect data.
