Anthropometric parameters as the factors affecting the performance of beach volleyball players
Hercogová, Simona ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Jahodová, Gabriela (referee)
This bachelor thesis called "Anthropometric parameters as factors affecting the performance of beach volleyball players"discusses the importance of anthropometry to evaluation of individual performances of beach volleyball players. Beach volleyball has become more and more popular. It is mostly due to new financial resources which have contributed to professionalisation of this sport; on the other hand, it has become more demanding. Hence, there is room for implementation of scientific methods, anthropometry is of particular importance. The aim of this thesis is to examine to what extent anthropometric parameters influence the performance of beach volleyball players. In this research, I employ chosen somatic and motoric measures which are later applied to beach volleyball players of same performance categories. Results of this research may serve as a practical material for coaches of beach volleyball or volleyball. Its particular use might be in the selection of appropriate playing partners or in the creation of training schedule.
An analysis of individual efforts of NHL players
Houdek, Jakub ; Černý, Michal (advisor) ; Formánek, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis is focused on application of econometric methods in the area of sport statistics, specifically in the area of ice hockey. Datasets were extracted from the National Hockey League (NHL) website, from the RTSS (Real Time Scoring System) from seasons 2002/2003 to 2014/15 by using the R package nhlscrapr. The Analysis of these datasets is based on previous work by Brian Macdonald [1]. The result is an adjusted +/- statistics (plus - minus), which describes the individual performance of each player. These statistics were later used for an estimation of probability of advance of selected teams to the playoffs, assuming the selected team uses anticipated players. These estimations were obtained by usage of logistic regression. It was found out, that the predictive ability of these models is weak.
Calculation of a Transfer Price of the Individual Operations in a chosen Firm
Štěpánková, Iva ; Stejskalová, Irena (advisor) ; Tyráček, Petr (referee)
Calculation of transfer prices of the individual performance means the calculation of the price of a product, service, work or other kind, expressed unit of output. Kind is usually expressed in the unit such as hours, kolograms, etc. The transfer price is a toll that is used for performance appraisals for the centers but is also used for other awards such as repair services, etc. This price is determined on the basis of precalculation. In the precalculation are listed the estimated cost of the product and the calculation shall be drawn up before the start of production, repectively at the beginning of the period. Individual performance is generally defined as the results of operations and as an external performance and internal performance. External performance are services such as goods, services or goods that are sold to consumers in the market at market prices. Internal performance are those services that are transmitted in particular within the enterprise between departments.
