Quality of life in rural area - municipality of Švihov case study

The main aim of this thesis was to compare the quality of life in three villages in the area of Svihov, which differ in population and to determine whether the quality of life is spatially differentiated. The first was Svihov, the second was Lhovice and the third was Trebycinka. The literature review includes of facts from the literature on the quality of life, its indicators and measurement, the countryside and its development. In the research part there are characterized the individual villages, there are evaluated results of the questionaire between their inhabitants, it includes interviews with important personalities and photodocumentation of the model area.

Comparison of life quality in countries of European Union measured by various indicators

In this bachelor thesis I try to describe the quality of life using a wider range of components which affects the quality of life and use these components to compare the quality of life in 28 member countries of the European Union. This work is divided into four parts. The first part is a detailed description of individual components of life quality. Along with that a comparison of all indicators of life quality is shown. Compared indicators were used in multiple calculations and models of life quality. The second part contains an overall comparison of the European Union based on all indicators. The third part consists of a comparison of the values of selected indicators in years of 2007 and 2013. Furthermore cluster analysis which is based on similarity of states classified by chosen indicators is shown. The last part contains a list of individual states ranked by the quality of life in years of 2008 and 2012.

Analysis of Quality of Life in the Czech republic and its comparison with other EU and OECD countries

This work focuses on quality of life and its measurement using different tools. The central subject of the work is to analyze the quality of life in Czech regions using appropriately chosen indicators. Comparison of quality of life in the region is based on quantitative statistically monitored data objectively reflecting the quality of life. The first part of this work is devoted to the theory associated with the measurement and indicators of quality of life. The second part focuses on the analysis of the quality of life in regions, the composite index and comparison of quality of life measured by Preston Curve in OECD and EU countries. The objectives of this thesis are achieved by using method of statistical data analysis and comparison of the results.

Quality of Life in Jindřichův Hradec

The theoretical part of this thesis focusses on the development of research quality of life. Basic concept will be defined and various approaches to the subject and criteria of measurement will be described. The practical part of this thesis will measure quality of life in Jindřichův Hradec according to predefined criteria and compare the results with nationwide research.

Evaluation of the quality of life in the Czech Republik

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of present state of the quality of life in regions in the Czech Republic. The comparison of regions is based on statistically monitored quantitative data -- objective indicators of the quality of life. In chosen Vysočina region aditionally qualitative indicators that include subjective evaluation of conditions of life in the region were monitored. First two chapters deal with the theory of quality of life and the methods of the measurement. The third part of the thesis focuses on the practical analyses . The aim of the diploma thesis was to evaluate objective conditions of the quality of life using total hierarchical index in all regions, demonstrate regional differences and analyze subjective quality of life in Vysočina region. The analysis of statistical data, scholarly issues and moreover empirical research were used to achieve the aim.
