LANGOVÁ, Tereza
The aim of this thesis was to find out the most frequent problems of the immobile patients and the people who care about them at home. This thesis is divided in two parts. The first part is theoretical and the second part empirical, which is based on the scientific reasearch itself. The theoretical part contains the definition and the contents of the expression immobility and the immobility syndrome. Then we follow with the most frequent demonstrations of the immobility syndrome. In the next topic there are needs of the immobile patients and the family that cares about them, then we mentioned the help for the members of the family and the home care agencies. The part that is very important is the area of the surroundings of the immobile patients that need more attention. In the last section we mention the allowances for disabled people and the areas where the patients can find help. The empirical part of this thesis was based on the quality approach and with the assistance of the semi-structural dialogue. The dialogues were carried out with the immobile patients at their homes and the people who take care of them as well. The information we got were afterwards analysed and put in the tables. The results of the research showed the most frequent problems of the patients and the people who take care of them at home and that is non-sufficient awareness of the care at home and the help of the home care agencies, social services and some other kinds aids. Concerning the patients it was mainly the problem of hygiene, food, emptying, building amendments at home. It is very important to mention that all the problems mentioned by both sides patients and their helpers wouldn´t appear if they were sufficiently informed before leaving hospital and going home.
The role of nurse and family members in discharging of immobile patiens
PŘIBYLOVÁ, Radka
This thesis deals with immobile patients´ defecation. Even though people feel ashamed to speak about this delicate and intimate problem it should be concerned with. Healthy diet, drinking regime, exercises adequate to patient´s age and fitness, stress elimination and defecation reflex training seem to be the best prevention to the problem as the laxative treatment of subsequent complications is less suitable. The research survey was firstly aimed at mapping the role of nurses who take care of immobile patients´ defecation and the obstacles they face and secondly, at the role of family members and the financial means which they are able to spend on such care. The findings of the research survey fully result from the interviews with six nurses working at the long-stay ward and six family members of the patients staying at the long-stay ward of the Hospital in Jindřichův Hradec,a.s.. At the same time six patients of this ward were observed. The charge nurse provided the permit to do the research and the ward sister was informed orally. The analysis of research findings led to making up an information leaflet which instructs patients in keeping healthy diet so that they can avoid defecation problems. The research survey findings will be offered to the staff of the hospital long-stay ward where the survey was run to help them improve the care of immobile patients.

NAGYOVÁ, Věra
The prevalence of obesity is increasing in an alarming rate not only in developed countries, but in developing countries in the last time, too. The high prevalence of obesity in some of the developing countries is connected with the economic development which currently reached the acceptance of western lifestyle including eating habits and automobilization. Obesity has nowadays became a serious problem in countries, where had hardly occurred before that time. In the beginning of the theoretical part of this work are medical pieces of knowledge about obesity, their complications, treatment and prevention. There are introduced different ways of treatment as the dietary treatment of obesity is, cognitively behavioural treatment of obesity, locomotive activity in a therapy of obesity of the immobile patient, pharmacotherapeutical treatment of obesity and surgical treatment of obesity. The influence has there a suitable education to a healthy way of living. In the second theoretical part of this work the role of nurse in the care about obese immobile patient is included, syndrome of immobile and psychosocial and spiritual needs of the immobile patient. Indeed, there should not be omitted the importance of rehabilitation of immobile patient in this chapter. To the quantitative research I used the questionnaire method on the base of the specific choice, which was created by questions and focused on nurses, who are taking care of immobile patients which are hospitalised in hospitals on the after-treatment care and medical institution for the long - term lying in the Czech Budweis and at the internal and surgical ward in Prachatice. The aim of this work was to find out how obesity influences the quality of provided nursing care in the area of hygiene and prevention of decubitus by immobile patients hospitalised in at the after-treatment care in the Czech Budweis hospital. From the given hypothesis it was confirmed the first one. In the hospital in the Czech Budweis at the after-treatment care are hospitalised immobile patients with BMI 30 and higher. The hypothesis number two was not confirmed. Obesity by immobile patients hospitalised at the after-treatment care did not influence the quality of provided nursing care negatively. The results show that the nursing staff provides quality comparable nursing care by immobile patients as well as immobile patients without overweight.
