Ethical dilemmas in social work from point of view of social workers in public administration (probation officers)

The thesis is focuse on professional ethics and ethical dilemmas in the work of a social worker in public administration / probation officer for adults. The main object was to find out what social workers consider as ethical dilemmas, how they are experiencing these situations, which strategies they choose to cope with these and what sources of support do they have. The overview part of the thesis is focused on a topic of values of social work and values of social workers. Overview part gives more attention to conception of justice and social justice, with which, among other documents, the codes of ethics work as one of the fundamental values of social work. It examines the professional values of social work by analyzing ethical documents - ethical codes. Research part of the thesis is based on qualitative research carried out through in-depth interviews with social workers in public administration. The objection of the research was to find out what professional situations social workers consider as ethical dilemmas, how they experience them, what strategies they choose to manage these situations and what sources of support do they have. Marriage - outdated institution?

This work is evaluating perceived values of marriage in Czech Republic and their implications to the role of a social worker. It is divided into three chapters, the first is focusing on some indicators of general quality of marriages, namely the number of people choosing cohabitation over marriage, number of divorces and children produced out of wedlock. It is also describing the value of marriage in Czech population as witnessed in sociological survey. The second chapter is defining marriage from theological perspective. That is marriage as portrayed in The Bible and sacramental marriage. The last chapter defines the goals and values of social work in conjunction with marriage, defining the role and personality of a practicing social worker. It is also covering the topic of ethical issues and ethical codex of social workers.
Personal qualification of social worker

The first chapter defines the social work, its principles, and social worker´s values and requirements. The second chapter defines the term and the categories of personality and its structure and character. The third chapter deals with the each desired mental qualities which are represented according to the categories they belong to. The result of this bachelor work can be used for the future research.
