Prevention of risk behavior in adolescents in children's homes

The main topic of this Bachelor's thesis is the high-risk behaviour of children and youth within the institutional education. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part introduces the basic characteristics of the high-risk behaviour as well as the socially pathological phenomena of the early adolescence. It introduces both ground information about preventing such behaviour and preventive activities used by institutes in this area. It further describes families and children upbringing in relation with the genesis of the socially pathological phenomena and gives basic information about institutional education. All information given is based on vocational sources. In the practical part important questions connected with the research are established, resulting in a description of specific cases of such behaviour in the children's home in Horní Planá, as well as in an analysis of preventive measures taken in this institution and the reflection of behaviour and its prevention of the children's home. Furthermore, an attention is given to the methodology - to the characteristics of the specific children's home, establishing of the research group, methods of data collecting, ethical limits of the research, the way of data processing, and the final evaluation of the results. All will be based on the main hypotheses of the thesis.

The Issue of Realisation of Primary Prevention at Secondary Schools

This bachelor's thesis on the subject of "The Issue of Realisation of Primary Prevention at Secondary Schools" discusses primary prevention and the issue of high-risk behaviour by students. This work contains a theoretical and practical section. The theoretical section describes high-risk behaviour by students, focusing on primary prevention and its effectiveness and organisational assurance of primary prevention of high-risk behaviour in the Czech Republic. The practical section examines realisation of primary prevention in secondary school programmes. Research focused on primary prevention of high-risk behaviour by students at secondary schools. The goal was to investigate realisation of precautionary prevention of high-risk behaviour and examine the effectiveness of preventive programmes at selected secondary schools in the South Bohemian Region. We chose a qualitative approach, the method of obtaining data by means of interviews with school prevention methodologists at secondary schools. We can state that the issue of primary prevention of high-risk behaviour is an extensive and sensitive subject, in which the school plays an important role. The purpose of primary prevention is to endeavour to make healthy life style activities a part of the education process.

Organization of lesure activities of children and youth threatend by social exclusion (Pilsner region)

The bachelor thesis with the title Institutions of leisure activities for children and youth from groups threatened with social exclusion in the Pilsen region I have divided into five main chapters. In the first chapter I state the description of leisure time and terms connected with this. In the next chapter I devote to system of care for children and youth in the area of leisure activities in the Czech Republic. In the third part I define interests and their division. The following chapter deals with problems of exclusion, high-risk behaviour and its prevention. The last chapter defines sector of providers and recipients of leisure activities. For the qualitative survey I have chosen technique of interviews, which I have performed with personal staff from institutions providing leisure activities in the Pilsen region. Leisure activities help to children and youth to spend free time meaningfully. The aim of the research part of my bachelor thesis was to map institutions acting in the field of organisation of leisure activities for children and youth from groups threatened with social exclusion in the Pilsen region. The research questions I have put in the way, that I would ascertain, if the supply of leisure activities for children and youth from groups threatened with social exclusion in the Pilsen region is various and also, if supplied leisure activities for children and youth from groups threatened with social exclusion are financial available even for underprivileged families. For the purpose of the research I have addressed 47 institutions providing leisure activities for children and youth in the Pilsen region, from which only 11 have cooperated with me. From these I have chosen for the next cooperation the institutions, which organise leisure activities for children and young people from groups threatened with social exclusion. The majority of my respondents, specifically seven, are made up from houses for children and youth, I have cooperated with three institutions, which are directed to work with children and youth threatened with social exclusion, it's referring to Association of Romany civil initiatives AMARE, ČHAVE, Club Atom and the Children's home with school, primary school and school dining room Měcholupy. I have also cooperated with Centre of leisure time Pilsen. I have ascertained with the survey that the broadest supply of leisure activities in the Pilsen region is in big towns. From the survey follows that even in smaller towns is the supply of leisure activities, regarding number of interested persons, sufficient. Children have the biggest interest for motion and creative activities. The major part of interested persons for leisure activities are made up from girls and boys of younger school age, approximately from the second degree of primary school girls predominate. To promotion of the supply of leisure activities interviewed institutions use web pages and handbills, or they advertise in the press or in Facebook. The majority of them cooperate with school institutions and town cultural centres. Financial means can institutions gain from various sources, for example fees from participants, endowments, sponsors and own activity. Concerning financial availability of leisure activities, the financial aspect should not discourage in visit of the interest circle. The major part of activities can be replaced monthly, somewhere it is enabled to pay just visited lections. Some institutions provide leisure activities even quite free of charge, some can the fee in well-founded cases decrease or entirely forgive. Family can in well-founded cases apply by relevant social division for allowance on leisure activities for their children. Risky behaviour of high school juveniles

The thesis is concerned with the high-risk behaviour of high-school youngsters. The theoretical part is concerned with the upbringing in a family from puberty to adolescence, what factors and environment affect the undesirable behaviour of individuals. What the job with high-risk youngsters is like, what the causes of juvenile crime are. Selected analysis and prevention of social pathological manifestations of youngsters. How the school atmosphere affects the behaviour of students, why childern hang around and don´t go to school. Factors and classroom, how they affect the results of a student. What dangerous situations students are dealing with.

Free time of youngsters located in an educational institution

The bachelor thesis named "Free time of youngsters, located in an educational institution" deals with high-risk behaviour of young children and teenagers. The theoretical part includes basic terminology of free time, primary and secondary socialization, and the general view of the way of upbringing. In the same time, it provides the legislative introduction to the way how the system of the institutional and protective education in educational institutions is divided and preventive educational care in educational institutions. The practical part of the bachelor thesis presents a qualitative research, in which we attempt to reveal the connection between the free time and high-risk behaviour of educational institution's clients. It focuses mainly on the way of spending free time of female respondents before the time of their placing to the educational institution, done by the analysis of their family background through the personal and family case history.
